Hellraiser (1987)
Bought the recent Boxset of the first three films on Blu ray. Even when they look a bit naff, I still adore practical effects. Cool flick.

Would have practical effects over the garbage CGI we get rammed down our throats nowadays mate

8/10
Nocturnal Animals

8.5/10
Pacific Rim
Felt like to me a cross between Transformers and Godzilla, one thing I have to say is the effects look amazing and the film looks stunning on Blu Ray my only little grip was it was a little predictable. The post credit scene at the end was really funny about the shoe lol
8.5/10.
Enchantment(1949)
An ambulance driver living and working in London attempts to connect with her grand uncle who has chosen to live a reclusive lifestyle.Irving Reid's film has plenty of meaty dialogue for the actors to get their teeth into and really shine. With David Niven,Evelyn Keyes,Farley Granger and Teresa Wright.
7.5/10
Life Of Crime(2013) Its Detroit in 1978, and two minor criminals(Yasiin Bey- better known as Mos Def- & John Hawkes) kidnap the wife(Jennifer Aniston) of a real estate developer, played by Tim Robbins. However, the husband, filing for a divorce, is reluctant to pay the $1million ransom. Based on an Elmore Leonard novel, this is a brightly performed crime/comedy(Will Forte & Isla Fisher good too), but with neither enough thrills, originality or humour to sustain it. The best scenes generally involve Aniston & Hawkes. Also starring Mark Boone Junior. 5.5/10
Why Him

By the by,dead animal balls on your boat = lol
Insidious Chapter 3(2015) A prequel to the first two in the series in which a teenager(a good performance from Stefanie Scott) asks a psychic played by Lin Shaye(who was in the first two films- another fine performance) to contact her late mother. This provokes the interest of a malevolent spirit who attacks the teenager physically and mentally. Shaye then has to exorcise the demon. An imaginatively staged movie with grim looking demons and fair amount of shocks along the way. Unusually for a third film in the series, it pretty much matches the first two. Also starring Dermot Mulroney,Leigh Whinnell(who also directed),Angus Sampson, Tate Berney & Jeris Poindexter. 7/10
Jason Bourne 6/10 - predictable sequel.
Logan
The 9th film in the X-Men franchise and without a shadow of a doubt the best one by a huge distance
Hugh Jackman delivers his best performance as Logan and Patrick Stewart is very good as Charles Xavier. The breakout star is young actress Dafne Keen as Laura/X23 who is an absolute badass and also forms a touching & close bond with Logan/Wolverine
The action is bloody, brutal & violent throughout the film and some very funny moments & lines too & the special effects are top drawer.
The best X-Men film & one of the best comic book films ever, including the MCU films
10/10
