Smash-Up:The Story Of A Woman(1947) A nightclub singer gives up her career for marriage, and soon descends into addiction. This drama is chiefly notable for a strong central performance from Susan Hayward, because the script is sometimes so so while her husband, played by Lee Bowman gives just an OK performance, though there is good support from Eddie Albert. Its partly billed as a film noir, which is a bit of a stretch, this is probably because of the occasional use of flashbacks, and some nightclub sequences. Also starring Marsha Hunt(good supporting role),Carl Esmond and Janet Murdoch. 6/10
Immortals
From the same producers of 300, after seeing this it's no surprise that Henry Cavill was cast as Superman and Luke Evans was great too. Really bloody and violent too lol.

In The House(2012) A teacher encourages a pupil's essay writing, which leads both on a dangerous path. A witty drama comedy of morals, excellently acted which blurs the line between fiction and fact, throwing in the odd fantasy sequence. A film which will leave you puzzling over the morals of story telling. Starring Kristin Scott-Thomas,Fabrice Luchini,Ernst Umhauer,Emmanuelle Seigneur,Denis Menochet,Bastien Ughetto and Jean-Francois Balmer. 8/10
