Worry Dolls (2016)
I'll be the first to admit I am a sucker for a Horror film (my favourite genre in other words) & for my sins I do tend get intrigued by films that have a good dvd cover but as long as the film is well shot & not with the shitty amateur style camera/filming I'll sit through & watch it.
And so I was drawn to Worry Dolls by the cover in which I picked up on Amazon for a mere few pounds but didn't have any expectations hence why it took me about 6 months shelf life for me to get round to watching it.
The film starts of with the main character Detective Matt Williams catching & killing notorious serial killer Henry Leonard Bale just before he was about to slay his next victim.
When serial killer Henry was alive he found solace (& voices in his head) by a collection of Worry Dolls (which are small dolls a mere few inchs long made of twigs & wrapped in wool).Basically these mysterious looking dolls carry a curse in which anyone who comes into possession of one turns from a mild-mannered person into a raving serial killer.
Shortly after the death of Henry Leonard Bale his collection box of worry dolls magically finds its way into a Bric-a-Brac store owned by the ex-wife of Detective Matt & his daughter Chloe.Chloe with a talent for making jewellery when stumbling across the collection of Worry Dolls decides to make necklaces & charm bracelets out of them the only fly in the ointment being that whilst these charms are being sold fast the new owners of these trinkets later become possessed & turned into psycho's.It takes a while for Detective Matt to piece together after each murder scene that the common denominator are the trinkets his daughter Chloe made with a Worry Doll attached were originally the property of deceased serial killer Henry Leonard Bale. The cat & mouse chase then pursues.
All in all not a bad film 5/10.
Velvet Goldmine (1998)
Featuring a all star cast, the film is set mainly in the glam rock era of the early seventies.

King Arthur : Legend of the Sword(2017)
Another reinvention film from Guy Ritchie this time taking on the origins of King Arthur.Cue lots of wideboy accents, silly montages and spectacularly stupid sword fights. Its done at such a breakneck pace that there's no time for any character development and because of this, none of the great cast(Charlie Hunnam,Jude Law,Eric Bana and Djimon Honsou)get a chance to shine.Clearly intended to be a the starting point of a franchise but done so poorly, a follow up would be unwise.
4/10
Although I will eventually see the above film,I don't hold out any great hopes for it. For me,the best version is still Excalibur.

Keanu Reeves' character is terrorised in his own home by two sexy young women. The only consolation for him is that he gets to fuck them both first.
The consolation for us is that one of them is Ana de Armas who is insanely fit with beautiful tits and we get to seem them in all their glory. The other bird is nice too and we also get to see her milkers.
My kind of review
Nice work.
Cheers mate! I like to get straight to the important stuff.
13 Minutes(2015) The story of Georg Elser and his failed attempt to blow up Hitler and various other Nazi bigwigs in Munich in 1939. This film skilfully flashes between the story of Elser after the attempt and details of his life before, showing the gradual Nazi takeover of his village, almost as a microcosm of Germany. Christian Friedel puts in a strong performance as Elser. Also starring Katharina Schuttler, Burghart Klaubner,Johann Von Bulow, David Zimmerschied & Rudiger klink. 7.5/10
London Has Fallen (2016)
Foul mouthed, indestructible Secret Service 'superman' Gerard Butler almost single-handedly lays waste to about a million terrorists when joke-telling President Aaron Eckhart again comes under threat, this time whilst on a state visit to our capital. Completely ridiculous plot and unbelievably unrealistic action sequences. The whole thing just seemed like an excuse to blow up as many London landmarks as possible - it almost becomes a stupidly insane guessing game as to which building gets decimated next. The bodies and the rubble pile up as much as the laughs - and unintentional comedy is not what you want from an action movie. At least
Olympus Has Fallen had an entertaining feel and slightly plausible story - this is just complete bullshit. I dread to think what they have planned for the rumoured third instalment of the
Has Fallen series. Morgan Freeman, Charlotte Riley and Colin Salmon are also among the cast. What were they thinking?!!

Judgement Night(1993)
A capable chase thriller from Stephen Hopkins with a great cast including Emilio Estevez,Cuba Gooding,Jr,Denis Leary(who steals each scene he's in),Stephen Dorff,Jeremy Piven and Peter Greene. With really no plot at all,it relies entirely on the smart direction, clichéd but well executed action scenes and the palatable mix of violence and old fashioned shock value that all builds up to an extended showdown in a department store.Which like the rest of the film, manages to entertain without really involving its audience.
