Falling Down (1993)
I'm finding time to enjoy some modern classics. In this offering from now sadly late director Joel Schumacher, a man becomes overwhelmed with the pressures and disappointments presented by life and snaps, embarking on a violent crusade of standing up to supposed injustices. A world-weary cop, on the verge of retirement, tries to track him down. Excellent performances from lead Michael Douglas and supporting Robert Duvall in a darkly satirical thriller that I think should have received a few Oscars. Rachel Ticotin, Barbara Hershey, Tuesday Weld, Frederic Forrest and Michelle Pfeiffer's little sister Dedee in an enjoyable cameo scene, provide the additional cast. 8/10
Spiderman No Way Home.
After all the rave reviews I was expecting great things... Unfortunately I was left a little disappointed.
It's not that it's a bad film but it just didn't live up to the hype for me. It all just seemed like a clumsy way to open the door to the multiverse for the next Dr Strange movie.
6.7494/10.
The Batman 4/10 - vastly overrated, far too long, dull and dreary.
The Batman
Kind of agree with the above comments. Was really expecting far more. A bit drab, a bit overlong, plot lines that didn't quite work. Way too much hype but maybe that was my own fault for daring to get too excited...
Waste of time and money really, sorry. 3/10

My god what happened with this movie, gonna start off with the good then go with the bad. The chemistry between the cast is great you can on screen and off screen that they really are a family and it reflects that on camera. The stuff with Dom’s past I love how they gone back and fleshed it and actually added to it so things aren’t what they seem. The return of past characters is a nice touch adding to the fold even the dead characters all a bit silly done in a decent way. The humour is good not over done, decent story and the stunts too. I liked how they gave the female characters much more to do and held there own so that was great.
Now the bad now it’s become too over the top the action set pieces and yes going into outer spaces and people and cars defying the laws of physics and for me it took me out of the film because now it’s too silly. I get there trying out do the previous movies but now it’s just a cartoon. Look I know movies exaggerate things but there’s a limit to where it’s over the top, for me it lost its way after Fast 7 for me it should have been a little more grounded.
The retuning villain Cipher who does a pantomime escape which felt tedious. Over all there is enjoyment to be had but you really need to switch off your brain for two and half hours. The post credit scene was great and it’s gonna very interesting how they follow up that.
