Hercules, with Dwayne Johnson. Better then I expected to be great action and nice little twist in the film, there is a funny death scene at the end and line that bad guy says at the end of it had me cracking up in laughter. There were a couple ropey CGI effects here and there but not enough ruin the film. 8/10.
No Holds Barred(1989)
Hulk Hogan mangles opponents and dialogue alike as a character called Rip,a carbon copy of his wrestling persona in this diabolic,Vince MacMahon produced, poor excuse for a film.Rip is a sort of wrestler/mix martial arts fighter.Out to avenge his brother who was badly injured at the hands of a guy named Zues("Tiny" Lister,Jr).Aside for some half decent fight scenes here and there, this is garbage.
3/10
The Villain (Cactus Jack in the UK) (1979). I can't remember when this was last shown anywhere, but some of you may like it.
The film was directed by Hal Needham and starred, amongst others, Kirk Douglas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Ann-Margret and Paul Lynde.
It is a parody blend of western films and Warner Bros.' Wile E. Coyote cartoon situations.

Night of the Hunter(1955)
Robert Mitchum stars as Harry Powell,an insane preacher who even kills his own wife on their wedding night.Mitchum is utterly convincing in this role under the brilliant direction of Charles Laughton, amazingly this was the only film he directed.
9/10
It! The Terror From Beyond Space(1958)
Edward L Cahn directs Ray "Crash" Corrigan as It,a stowaway on the first spaceship to land on Mars.Quite effective given the be budget and technical constraints of the time and an influence on Alien, down to the opening of a hatch to blow the creature from the ship.Although Ridley Scott claims that he never saw it.
7/10
Cujo(1983)
A rabid St.Bernard is enough to generate real chills in this suspenseful adaptation of the book by Stephen King.Directed by Lewis Teague who had done a great job of the low budget horror, thriller Alligator(1980)
7.5/10
The Mist(2007)
From a novella by Stephen King,Frank Darabont's movie is suspenseful and in places quite horrific.Filled with creepy insect and arachnid type creatures that vary in size from small to enormous.Good cast and acting, with some well designed creatures, only slightly let down by some poor CGI in places.
7/10
^ Don't watch it if you're in a depressed state - the ending is bleak as.
Black Sea - 6/10 claustrophobic underwater thriller starring Jude Law, ok in parts but a bit slow, not helped by Laws diabolical scottish accent.
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers- 2002, directed by Peter Jackson, with (principal actors) Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Orlando Bloom, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, John Rhys Davis, Bernard Hill
8/10
The second chapter of the "Lord of the rings" film series: I rated "The Fellowship of the ring" 8/10, and this second film is as good as the first; again, great acting/special effects, and breathtaking scenarios. Two special mentions for Cristopher Lee and Bernard Hill.
Sir Christopher Lee was perfect in the role of Saruman, my favourite character. Unfortunately , some of his scenes were cut from the final theatrical version of the movie (or so I read).
Bernard Hilll...The moment I saw him, in the role of King Théoden, I recognized the brave and proud captain of the Titanic
! Hill is the only actor to have appeared in 2 films awarded with 11 oscars, Titanic -1997- and "The return of the King", third chapter of the Jackson's saga.
