I love the way it's darker tone and goes back into the first film 9.4/10.
Yeah..all three were on ITV2 last night, though I missed most of the first (best?) one as it started too early in the afternoon.
Libyan terrorists ?
Funny how things come around.
For me, Part 2 doesn't really get going until they go back into 1955 again : seeing it again, it seemed like the stuff at the beginning in 2015 is a bit tedious - the sort of "retreading" of the 1955 scenes in the café and the chase around the square etc. Just my opinion.
It gets more interesting again with the "alternative" future/present.
And I like the complexity of having the two versions of the Marty and Doc character both running around in 1955, trying not to "interfere" with the events of the previous film and keep them on track. Relatively brave thing to do I think when it first came out ? - way before Dr Who revivals or even that kind of time paradox stuff had been done much in mainstream TV or Hollywood films ?
Part 3 doesn't really work for me, I'm not that much into Westerns at the best of times.
Mind you, ITV2 not starting Part 3 until 10:30pm - choosing to interrupt the flow between Part 2 and Part 3 by showing a 90 minute Keith Lemon "mockumentary" in between them ( WHY OH WHY OH WHY ? KEITH LEMON ?!?! FFS) - so the poor audience (well, me anyway) is yawning its way through the saggy Doc/Clara love-story padding in the middle of Part 3 ( Is that why Dr Who has a companion called "Clara", please say it ain't so ? ) and falling asleep by 12:50am by the time it finishes.
