Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone(2001) SKY HARRY POTTER channel. I cannot believe that I went to see this 19 years ago at the cinema after all the hype surrounding the idea of a film based on the phenomenally successful books by JK Rowling. It is odd seeing how young the three main stars(Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson) grew and became big worldwide stars. Emma blossomed into an absolute beauty of course.
Final Score 2018 top film 10/10
Flight (2012)
Powerhouse performance by Denzel Washington as an airline pilot with a drink problem who miraculously saves a plane from certain doom. A powerful drama which is guaranteed to deliver an emotional response from it's audience. His standout performance creates a very believable character of a man labelled a hero whose bravado masks a very broken man. Bruce Greenwood, Don Cheadle, John Goodman and Kelly Reilly also star in a moving film which was rightly nominated for and won several awards at that year's film accolade season. Worth multiple viewings. 4/5

Paddington 2 (2017) delightful and whimsical, poignant and very funny.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) Amazing to see how the three main characters develop and was a classic example of a sequel being better than the first film, and got even better as they progressed. Funny, scary and clever you can't help being awed by the mind of JK Rowling and the way she knits all the stories together. Next up The Prisoner of Azkhaban.
