Came out in 1987, I think, and I first saw it on VHS in the mid-1990s. But I was too young to really understand it. Just watched it again and with the benefit of an iPad next to me to Wikipedia the things I didn't understand. It's an incredible story!
The imitation game 9/10
Beautiful film about alan turing and deciphering the enigma code benedict cumberbatch great as turing was sad ending made me mad how he was treated in the end.
The Hobbit - Battle of the five Armies 8.5/10 excellent final instalment
Taken 3 - 5/10 disappointing sequel, hollywoods obsession with ruining perfectly good franchises by making them child friendly is really starting to piss me off.
^^^ A bit creepy that I almost chose to watch The Living Daylights yesterday too!
But I went with Draft Day instead. Excellent movie if you are an NFL fan. An enjoyable time filler if you aren't. Not Jerry Maguire good, but pretty good nonetheless. 7/10.
Awesome film, I can even forgive the crazy accents of Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert (In the case of the latter, it can be put down to the fact Connor McLeod's been all over the place and his accent's changed over the centuries he's been immortal. Connery is playing an Egyptian with a spanish name, and just sounds scottish). Great premise, great fights, beautifully shot (especially the scenes set in Scotland) and an amazing soundtrack by Queen. What's not to love? All the problems started when somebody thought a sequel would be a good idea...
Like Hannahs Pet my last viewing was of The Imitation Game.
Cumberbatch was indeed outstanding and I was engrossed throughout the whole film.
10/10. Best film I have seen in a long long time.
We're the Millers - I laughed so many times watching this movie, an excellent watch from start to finish, the basic plot is a fake family is made up in order to carry out a drug smuggling operation. 8/10
