Children's animation from Studio Ponco(?)Japanese cartoon based on a classic children's book(The Little Broomstick) called 'Mary and the Witch's Flower.' Dubbed into English with British actors such as Kate Winslett and Jim Broadbent doing the voices, it tells the story of a young redheaded girl called Mary who is sent to live with her Great Aunt and is lonely. One day she wanders into a wood and discovers a mysterious flower that gives her magical powers and a broomstick that whisks her off to a strange land where she discovers a school for witches and wizards and learns of its secret past and frightening experiments done by two teachers. I won't spoil it further but it is worth a watch if you like Japanese cartoons beautfully animated. You can find it on Sky film channels-do a search via the box if you have that under 'Mary'
Aquaman
The latest film in the DCEU and it's an excellent very entertaining comicbook films & only Wonder Woman is better in the DCEU
Jason Momoa is brilliant & an absolute badass as Aquaman, Amber Heard is just as much a badass as Mera & the rest of the cast are very good, especially Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren & Willem Dafoe
The Special Effects & action sequences are amazing and it's a lot more lighter in tone than the rest of the DCEU including some fun one liners. If you can see it in IMAX 3D, do so.
There is one extra scene partway through the credits that sets up a sequel
9/10
^^ I watched it yesterday, maybe it was the copy i had, dark, Chinese subtitles, poor audio etc, but i didn't really enjoy it.
I though the movies only redeeming feature was Amber Heard...
Aquaman
Yeah I watched it too... in an IMAX, and in 3D... and sorry Rammy - not very impressed. Amber Heard is hot as fuck as Mera, but I found the origin story quite boring. Perhaps it requires further viewings or requires watching the sequel, but my problem is why do I bother watching the sequel when the first movie doesn't set me up in the right frame of mind to even care what happens next? For me Jason Momoa's performance was reasonable, but I was still expecting more. It was very much a case of seen that before, been there, done that kind of thing. Although not a complete flop, it lags behind Henry Cavill's Superman in the modern DC Universe and there's still a sense that DC movies aren't a patch on Marvel's. Not for me I'm afraid. 1.5 / 5

No need to say your sorry, that’s your opinion

This doesn't surprise me and I'm sure you're right.
But the problem is that the DCEU, in general, is so irreparably shit that even Wonder Woman isn't a very high bar to reach. I think Wonder Woman is the best of the DCEU movies and it still wouldn't crack my top-10 of comic book movies that have come out in the last decade.
I think Zack Snyder broke the DCEU and they should basically wipe the slate and start again.
The dceu was f'ed from the start why would you start a universe with a almost 50 year old batman ? That blows my mind... its clear there was no plan from the start and they just panicked when man of steel under performed at the box office also they made the happiest and most recognizable superhero of all time superman and made him a moody little bitch and them killed him in the 2nd film of there universe.....madness
^^ Ben Affleck's Batman is an abomination. The worst fucking Batman ever so I see what you mean about that complete waste of time from the modern DC movies. He was probably one of the worst choices of actor that could have been given that role.
However, Henry Cavill as Superman for me is very good. I think it's always going to be difficult to unseat Christopher Reeve as the best ever Superman but Cavill did a decent job. Man of Steel, although not perfect, was alright and they didn't make him a "moody little bitch", in my opinion. I agree that the new Superman franchise went wrong with the horrendous sequel, Batman vs Superman and the Justice League movie after that got a myriad of bad reviews. Don't get me started on the ultra shit Suicide Squad.
Marvel's Avengers and X-Men movies usually outscore DC's Justice League offerings. This latest DC production, Aquaman, let me down. I get that I shouldn't have expected too much given DC's poor record. But even so, DC don't learn. They seem to lurch from one poor movie to another.
I agree that perhaps the slate should be wiped clean and find new actors for all the DC characters. Go back to basics and start again. They simply can't keep allowing Marvel to wipe the floor with them almost every single time.
^^
I'll be honest i like ben affleck as batman and i like henry cavil as superman both great actors but ben's too old and the depiction of the characters was way off superman should of been happy and batman should of been saving people not blowing them up
Also i like most of the dc movies they all have problems but not as bad as some people say i don't take film critic reviews as gospel
I mean someone on here said man of steel was good till it turned into a 30 cgi fight.... avengers infinity had an hour long cgi fight at the end in fact 80% of that movie was cgi but nobody says anything about that

Based on the true life story of a free spirited couple,Richard and Tami who sail their friend's yacht across the pacific but get caught in a massive hurricane. With Richard severely injured,Tami must find the courage to steer the almost crippled vessel 2000 miles back to safety.Incredibly put together with a great sense of realism by director Baltasar Kormákur.Sam Claflin and Shailene Woodley are superb in the lead roles.
