Cruella - 7/10.
Thought it'd be meh, turned out to be pretty good, an interesting back story to the character.
Decent cast, a little bit funny, a little bit sad, hopefully Emma will reprise the role again.
Every few years I decide to go back to Star Wars — every movie in chronological order. The prequels are so painful to re-watch — I don’t know why I do it. They actually get worse with age.
(I’m sure I’ve ranted about this before)
But the purpose of re-hashing this is that I may have found a solution. I watched all three of the prequels on my iPad with my finger poised over the fast-forward button. All three movies in about 90 minutes.
It turns out that if you just skip all the bits where Anakin talks, anything with Natalie Portman in the frame, 95% of Jar Jar and that bit where Obi Wan wails about “democracy!” … there is actually a watchable movie there.
Phantom … 2/10
Attack … 1/10
Revenge … 3/10
All three in 90 minutes, with no Anakin, Padme or Jar Jar … 7/10!
The Suicide Squad
8/10 enjoyed it a lot and easily the best DCEU film by a distance for me.
Suicide Squad (the first one)
Yes, I know, as a non cinema-goer without Sky, I'm always at the dog's arse with these things
The action was ok-ish. But, even for a genre that requires suspension of disbelief, the plot was ridiculous.
The premise was to assemble a squad to combat villains with superpowers (as opposed to super villains, which is a different thing).
So we have the human flamethrower guy
the crocodile guy
the assassin who never misses (ok, I'll give them that one)
an Aussie with a boomerang and a girl with a baseball bat
Don't get me wrong, Harley Quinn is a great character, and Margo Robbie in skimpy hotpants, what's not to like. But as far as the plot goes, wtf was the point of her. I mean if the baseball bat was first cousin to Thor's hammer then, yeah, ok. But otherwise she was in the wrong film.
4/10
Terminator 2: Judgement Day Extended Special Edition
This is how you do a sequel especially this version of the movie.
Jungle Cruise - 6/10 i usually enjoy Dwayne Johnson's movies but this was watchable at best, at least the kids found it funny.
Trial by fire:
Based on true event's. Man wrongly convicted of murder and given death sentence. Well worth a watch.

well, the trailer flatters to deceive, but i know you will love it
^^
As I've said I enjoyed the previous 2 films in the GI Joe franchise, so I'm sure ill enjoy Snake Eyes, especially as well because it hasn't cost me anything as I have an Odeon Limitless membership where I can see as many films as I want for £10 a month at the moment which is fantastic value for money given how often I go to the cinema, especially when my ice hockey season has finished. The only time i have to pay extra is for things like Imax, plus I get 10% off food and drink at Odeon
