The Beat Beneath My Feet(2014) A music mad schoolboy discovers there is a presumed dead rock star living next door, and persuades him to teach him guitar so then he will keep the rock star's secret safe. Both these actors(debutant Nicholas Galitzine & Luke Perry) tackle their fairly complex roles well, there's some enjoyable dream sequences and a pretty good soundtrack. The ending is predictable, however. Also starring Lisa Dillon,Verity Pinter,James Tarpey,Simon Lowe & Ian Virgo. 6.5/10
A Christmas Carol[aka Scrooge](1951)
Brian Desmond Hurst's version of the classic story is as traditional as they come but features a truly magnificent central performance from Alistair Sim,who in my opinion is the definitive Scrooge.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
The 8th film in the Star Wars franchise and the first spinoff film. in my opinion the 3rd best film in the franchise with only Empire Strikes Back (1st) and A New Hope (2nd) above it.
Felicity Jones is excellent as Jyn Erso and the rest of the cast all play their part in telling the story of how the rebel alliance steal the planes for the 1st Death Star. Special Effects and action sequences are all very good and there is plenty of familiar faces from the main Star Wars films who appear in it along with other nods & Easter eggs to the main star wars films in rogue one too.
10/10
Hope there are more Star Wars spinoff films
Thanks to greenray for this recommendation.
The Glass Key(1942)
A former corrupt politician tries to clean up his act by refusing help from a gangster in his reelection campaign. However,he soon finds himself accused of murder. An excellent film noir with another wonderfully twisty plot, acted superbly by Alan Ladd, with brilliant support from genre regulars Brian Donlevy, William Bendix and Veronica Lake.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part One (2010) The battle between Harry & Co against Voldemort etc ramps up as Harry aims to find and destroy the horcruxes and thus kill Voldemort. The darkest and so far best of the series, with a couple of shockers in the first ten minutes. The film does feel like a take on World War Two with the Resistance versus the Nazis. There's time for a couple of neat tricks and touching moments, while at the heart of the film, Daniel Ratcliffe & Emma Watson show their acting skills. There's good roles for Bill Nighy as Minister Scrimgeour, Rhys Ifans as Xenophilius Lovegood, journalist and father of Luna & Domhnall Gleeson as Bill Weasley. 8/10
Home To Danger(1951)
A lady living abroad returns home after hearing of her father's suicide and finds herself in mortal danger due to his will being amended.A decent crime drama from director Terence Fisher with a fine central performance from Rona Anderson.

Out Of The Dark (2014) A mother(Julia Stiles) moves with her husband(Scott Speedman) and daughter (Pixie Davies) to Columbia to take up a new job at her father's (Stephen Rea) factory. However, it appears their new home may be haunted. Despite a reasonable back story, there is a general lack of original ideas in the supernatural element of this film, aside a couple of shocks. The quality of the film drops further when it decides to turn into a conspiracy/chase thriller. Also starring Vanesa Tamayo & Alejandro Furth. 4/10
Rogue one 9.5/10
Wow loved it !! loved it like Ep 7 they have gone back to the old school feel of it.
think its my 2nd fave after Empire Strikes back i didnt really like the 1st for some reason
watch out for some cameos and i loved the way
the way they brought Peter Cushings back from dead using a body double and cgi for him to reprise his role from the first film
the end two scenes especially makes it sync straight into a new hope
Hercules in the Haunted World(1961)
Body builder Reg Park plays Hercules, who along with his friends Theseus and Telemachus travel to Hades to recover The Stone Of Forgetfulness.Christopher Lee brings a touch of class as Hercules' rival,King Lico who is in league with the Underworld.Sounds absolutely ridiculous but talented director Mario Bava somehow manages to pull this off with some style which makes it fun.
