I'll Manners
A decent film, but sadly a lifestyle I see all to often (apart from the prostitutes)
A gritty street drama merging the lives of gangsters, dealers & prostitutes, this is not a bad outing from artist/director Plan B.
7.5/10
From Paris With Love 8.5/10.
The Man with The Golden Gun. 7/10 Roger Moore's 2nd outing as Bond. In my opinion not the best of the Moore 007's. Live and Let Die, The Spy who Loved me, Moonraker and A View to a Kill all surpass it but still, it's an entertaining movie. Have always liked the half sunken Queen Elizabeth as the setting for the MI6 base

Having now seen this I have to say its simply brilliant. Some familiar characters but they all seem fresh. A lot of humour in there too. Once it get going its non stop.
Part two-The desolation of Smaug is out in December and part 3 is out July 2014.
part 3 is called There and Back Again. the hobbitt is a childrens story. good casting and script. it is good to see the original actors returing in their previous roles, mckellan has gandalf, weaving has elrond, lee has saurman, serkis has gollum/smeagol.
Oblivion 8/10 sci fi action movie starring Tom Cruise, a good start to the summer blockbuster season, great special effects and a good story makes this one to watch.
National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets 7.9/10
Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone 8.9/10.
Snow White And The Huntsman
Apart from the ropey accent by Thor/The Huntsman,I rather enjoyed this.
A decent watch 7.5/10

Tolkien never expected his stories to become popular, but by sheer accident The Hobbit, which he had written some years before for his own children, came to the attention of Susan Dagnall in 1936; an employee of the London publishing firm George Allen & Unwin, who persuaded Tolkien to submit it for publication. However, the book attracted adult readers as well as children, and it became popular enough for the publishers to ask Tolkien to produce a sequel. 10 years in the making, that sequel was Lord of the Rings. He had originally set out to make LOTR a childrens tale as in the style of the Hobbit but this soon gave way to the darker elements now so famous.
For the record The Silmarillion (where the prog band Marillion got their name), The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings are all now classed as high fantasy classics. Tolkien is cited as saying that the Anglo-Saxon saga of Beowulf was the main inspiration for his books. Peter Jackson certainly adds an Anglo-Saxon look to the style of the movies.
