i think the chances of a deal by sunday are..zilch. The chances of a deal happening bdefore Sunday..zilch.
Tory Govt after tory government over the last four years since the referendum have gone about this without any real proper plan or consideration and i think under Johnson the plan as just gone tits up and we are going to be proper shafted by the EU

Reckon Johnson was angling for it all along and probably never thought about the true implications of a Australia style deal and never realised what the true implications of it will be

Why are you blaming the EU. The UK voted to leave. This shambolic shitshow of a government have so far failed to agree a free trade deal and seem to believe they can have all the benefits of being in the EU without any of the costs or responsibilities.

Let me pitch this another way then..
I meant was that the Govt's shitshow shambles of handling makes it likely we leave the EU without a deal and most likely the EU wil find some way to screw us over so I'm not laying the blame with the EU and I blame the successive administrations of Tory Govt for failing to grasp the situation firmly & should have got this done well within the two year transition period
In an effort to calm things when negotiations are in difficulty, the governments announced that they to send Four Royal Navy patrol ships after January 1st to help protect its fishing waters.
Is it yet another stupid move to upset the French fishermen or a supposed way to try and get an agreement from the EU.
We really do have the most inept government in power at the worst possible time. Fucking useless, the lot of them
And he's arranging for the deployment of helicopters if they are needed.
He's picking a fight that he can't win with the French fishermen.
The problem isn't who should fish the waters, it is if the fishing stock is sufficent to meet all our needs.
The French fishermen will just block their ports and stop all freight from arriving into Britain. And thus cause food shortages.
Do they not understand that the age of empire is over, we rule fuck all now. This isn't the 1600's ffs.
The Conservatives need to remove Boris and his like sooner rather than later, this is going to end their party if they aren't careful.
Boris' legacy will be that of the most useless PM in history, a hard earned title. lol.

I think it was O’brian who said that the beginning of the end was when the anti-EU mob labelled themselves “Brexiteers” — which sounds vaguely like “musketeer” — as if they are waging some noble fight against a dangerous enemy.
I’ve said it before, but it’s worth repeating:
Invent a phony crisis in order to “solve” the crisis, and if that creates a real crisis, then invent a bunch of other phony crises to cover it up.
That’s our leadership.
