Interesting Court Case in Ireland about brexit and the fact if Article 50 cannot be revoked then EU are in breach basically saying if we cant revoke it the EU can give us the shittest deal going and there's fuck all we can do about it.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/pol...68081.html

has to be done in ireland because has to be a 2nd eu country and they have decided Ireland because its got same system as ours and has a lot to lose in a bad deal

Except the UK imports twice as much as she exports to the mainland Europe, those imports can come from elsewhere in the world but the EU would loose a lot of money and not be able to replace it.

It wouldn't be in their best interest to 'give us the shittiest deal ever'. Some form of comprimise will be in the best interest of both parties.

You need to bare in mind that the biggest obsticle to the UK having access to the single market is this freedom of movement, if the EU's love of it is so great, even if is is absolutely not crutial, then it is they who would be causing problems for themselves and everybody.

Britian was never all on board with the EU in the first place, it always had problems.
There you go spouting the Brexit bible which has been shown to be a load of bollocks time and time again Tongue Tongue Tongue

I'm spouting nothing, it's called fact coupled with common sense. The UK DOES import much more from the mainland Europe then they buy from us, guessing those companies won't want to lose all them sales; and of course, those companies cannot easily look else where in the world like the UK will be able to due to trade restrictions.

And of course, you could be shoving remainer propaganda Tongue
44% of our exports are to the EU, 53% of our imports are from the EU but that does not mean that 53% of EU exports are to us.

16% of EU exports are to the UK so the impact on the economies are different. The idea that the worlds second largest economy with a GDP of $17,110,523 needs the UK with a GDP of $2,649,890 more than we need them when their custom makes just under half of our sales and our custom makes up less than a sixth is nonsense.

Make no mistake they have the superior hand. Considerably

I stated we import far more from the EU than we export to them meaning we spend billions in the EU what ever percentages it is and whoever else the EU exports to. Then there's the EU contributions on top of it.

The EU is not a state or country, it's wealth is combined and is dependant on contibutions from member states with their own GDP and their own trade agreements. Only a few out of the 28 contribute to the EU coffers; they have just lost by far one of the biggest contributers. All the rest of the countries in the EU have a net gain from the EU and the EU has a net loss to them. The rest of the contributing countries have now to cover UK's contribution. Do individual countires want to lose a large export maket as well, with job losses?

I suspect if Poland were to vote to leave the EU nobody would bat and eye lid and probably breath a sigh of relief, losing one of the biggest contributers is the cause of the out rage in the EU.

If the UK was as unimportant has you seem to be claiming not a single EU member country would give a flying fig about it the UK leavng.

Then you need to factor trade with the rest of the world which the UK will be free to do.

Like i said many months ago, leaving the EU could be extremely good for the UK, but that depended on the rest of the EU, looks like they are goign to be complete vindictive cunts about it to keep there own people in check, but this was always goign to be a long term thing. It's just a damn good thing that the US president elect is so pro UK.
Nice post southsidestu, but slightly misses the point IMO.
The point being; just because the EU could be cuntish with the UK, definitely doesn't mean they should, or even will for that matter
I dont think they will be looking to cut their noses off to spite their faces.
What about spain and Gibraltar you are saying they wont try and get dual soverignty of Gibraltar as part of any EU Divorce deal. Everyone is saying they wont because of Trade but the fact is that a trade deal comes after Brexit talks the 2 years is to get a divorce settlement and stuff like Agrrements on stuff data sharing and criminal arrest warrants and the like

We will be still be wanting to be members of Certain things like Europol and Erasmus so European students can study here and also with things like the European Space agency not to mention projects like Cern and other science projects which bring jobs and research funding to the UK

there is also the whole ireland / northern ireland border to deal with as well

there will also be discussions on a transitional trade deal because will take 5-10 years to get a trade deal
It has been reported that Tony Christie's tour bus was attacked by hooded migrants at the French border. I expected they just wanted to know the way to Amarillo.
