I take it you mean people rather than Immigrants and if you think that landing a large increase in freight at Stansted will be easy have you actually seen the battle they have had about expansion and the shitty road and rail connections to it
Michel Barnier has made a press conference to say that the UK are backtracking from the agreement that Boris signed in January.

Mr Barnier is very naive in thinking that Boris would stick to it. Boris was just after completing his 'lets get Brexit Done' promise and was just going to say anything to get a framework agreement.
I think Boris' & Dom's plan all along was to leave with no deal anyway. I think the speech & promise in January has been lost within the pandemic
yeah its obvious who is in control of the policy and it aint boris and its what they wanted from the start

The deal he renegotiated & signed? The deal he said was "oven ready" & would "Get Brexit Done !" ?

I think Barnier knew that this was always gonna happen, he's just getting in first by saying Britain are backtracking on the deal because he knew that's what Boris was gonna say about the EU, because that's exactly what the Brexiteers have been spouting from the start Rolleyes

Just a preemptive "fuck you" to Boris methinks.
Brexit backing billionaire boss of Ineos is in talks to build his new 4x4 car in.... France. James Ratcliffe whos has been dubbed "Britian's richest man" with an estimated net worth of $19.3bn & helped finance the leave campaign will be able to benefit from the move as it means that the factory, which was originally planned to be located in Bridgend, Wales will be closer to his home in Monaco which he moved to last year in order to save himself £100s of millions in tax, that could of been going to the NHS.

To add insult to injury, the original plant in Wales was to be located next to a closing Ford plant & was expected to minimise unemployment & economic damage. To add further insult the Welsh Government had spent time & taxpayers money on preparing the site for Ineos based on their previous commitment to Bridgend.

Add that to Dyson moving to Singapore, Rees Mogg's firm to Dublin, Leave campaign chair Nigel Lawson seeking French residency, the financial backer of Brexit think tank Legatum obtaining a Maltese passport & it paints a pretty clear picture that, just like with Cummings trip to Barnard Castle, there is one Brexit for the people who voted for it & another for the wealthy that advocated for it.

I hope the 17.4m enjoy their snake oil
^No mention of Ineos also suspending work on a Plant in Portugal? I'm shocked. Not.

The French plant they're looking at is an existing Daimler Benz Smart Car facility that was upgraded to build SUVs in the last few years.
The fact that they might be pulling out of the Portugal site is irrelevant, Brexit promised that an "Independent Britain" (it has always been independent) free from the constraints of The EU would be able to negotiate new and better trade deals that would open the country up to the rest of the world allowing us to export our goods to all corners of the earth. It was about tapping into those working class blue collar regions that had been left behind by globalisation & jobs going over seas (when most of the jobs were actually lost to automation & Britain's transition to a services economy).

Why then if Brexit is going to deliver these superior trade deals would you opt out of that to relocate your factory to The EU? Surely the benefit of better trading opportunities outweighs having a ready made factory especially when the Welsh Government were contributing to the site? Wales is one of the poorest countries in Europe, devastated by the collapse in industry & it voted to leave, it is exactly the kind of place Brexit was supposed to benefit but the Brexit backing businessman is bailing on it. Just like when Dyson relocated to Singapore at the expense of a leave voting area.

It's not like they weren't warned, it was said repeatedly that leave voting areas were the ones that would suffer the most from Brexit & here we are. It's one thing when it might be an international company like Nissan or even a British company owned by Remainers but Brexiteer owned companies pulling out of Brexit voting regions, it's just a piss take
