I daresay there is scope for better direction of aid spending.
Take the whole Band Aid thing, supporting the Ethiopian famine. Of course, Ethiopia were at war with Eritrea at the time and Ethiopia were the aggressors. Is it credible that Eritrea should have no victims, no starving, no media attention and no money?
I realise this is getting beyond the remit of Europe now, sorry
No, a lot do want to scrap foreign aide completely, but my point was foreign aide is fine to countries that really do need it.
It's almost as if these are saying, we will spend our money how we want, but if these people starve it's your fault for not giving aide.
When you look back at the poll result and the actual result both were pretty close
If we had held a second referendum would many of you guys change the way you voted first time round or would you vote the same as before?
The Mods need parliamentary approval?
It would be most amusing if Sturgeon got her way and a referendum was held in a couple of years, only to find Brexit went relativly smoothly and she was defeated.
So the UK has to stay in the EU so it can weild is vast influence over the rest of the EU.
