Being tough on britian to keep their own people in check was always on the cards.
If Italy get early elections & the Five Star Party wins power and they hold a referendum next year 2017 could be quite a dark year for the EU on the whole

yeah but the Italian situation amplifies this. really bad timing in relation to brexit negotiations.

There has to be a general election soon anyway. The current term of the Italian parliament only runs to March 2018.
