That's a bizarre degree of backing down. I can't imagine that many Leave voters are going to be happy with this.

I'd say none, if all this is true it would seem like a con to get power.
Was it some gert big joke on boris side for shits and giggles thinking it would never happen?
He mis judged the mood of the British people if he thought that, this wasn't like a general election, two thirds of the Uk population turned out to vote, over half of them voted out, if you allow for a large 1st 2nd and 3rd gen imigrants eleigable to vote most of the indigenous population must have voted out.
The UK was fed up of having to put up with laws made by none British peole in a foreign country, that's pretty much back door conquering in the same way the Roman and British empire enforced it's laws on conquered poeple, a lot of those laws were good, others were bad, but people don't like being told what to do by foriegners.
It's never been about imigration, there's always been that, it's the sudden surge and uncontrolable amount entering; I'm pretty sure there are such things as passes, work permits, green cards that can be applied for to work in this country, you don't have to have free movement, there was no such thing a few years ago and UK recruited from abroad.

It's on ITV right now.
Because you will find most tory voters are quite affleunt prob have houses in italy and france and go travelling a lot and are scared for house prices
it was the labour voter in the north who have been hit by austerity scared by immigration even though outside the major citys dont have much who have had shitty lives since 2008-9 who thought cant do fucking worse out than we have in
interesting take on Boris from Alistair campbell yesterday. said he is finished and would not win a election if he was elected leader said he was a winner but that was olympics boris the cute luvable rogue who the youth thought were really cool
Now seen as a Manipulative Backstabber and the youth think hes the cunt thats stole there futures

You misunderstand, the UK as just voted OUT, their pledge is to get the UK back IN.
You only need an overall majority to form a governent, and general elections get a much lower turn out than this referendum did, you coud end up with a government in with less votes than out recieve.
Wackawoo I understand politics and democracy far better than you it seems. If you seriously think that an elected government cannot undo what has been done before then why the hell do we have elections? By your flawed logic no decision could ever be changed by a subsequent government.
^ And there's a second flaw in his logic. If he wants to factor in the people who don't vote, then there isn't a mandate to leave in the first place. Since only 37% of the people who were eligible to vote actually voted for it.
Good speech from osbourne

Don't over complicate it for him or his head will explode
so we have been conned all along? That the leave result of this referendum is actually worth zilch with what Boris has said?
So I'm listening to Radio 5 at the moment & the claim is that Labour voters who voted Leave did so as a vote against the Conservatives and austerity. Neither of these things were on the ballot paper and the result will herald in a more right wing Conservative Government. The world has gone mad!
