During the campaign Leave made a point that the border agreement with France where we have our border controls in Calais was a separate agreement and not governed by EU Membership. Well the president of the region & the mayor of Calais have called for the deal to be ended as a consequence of our Leave vote.
Also there a calls for a General Election. If that was won by a party who in their manifesto said they were against BREXIT that would be interesting!
Although I'm firmly against BREXIT I do believe we should now get on with it as delay only adds to the uncertainty
The UK has had its credit rating downgraded from 'stable' to 'negative' by the ratings agency, Moody's.
Boris must be favourite to be PM. Theresa "namesake" May as only credible alternative.
Other suggestions like Nicky Morgan or Stephen Crabb are worse no-hopers than Jeremy Corbyn was.
When will the successor thread start?
The Tory Cunt Championship Thread

Wholeheartedly agree. There is a fundamental problem with the two party system in the UK that leaves huge numbers of people unrepresented and disenfranchised, and a second chamber based on wealth and family history is just wrong.
Look at Scotland where 50% of the public vote returned 94% of seats in government for the SNP.
But I don't agree that the solution to that is to say 'well our system is unfair so we'll let someone else govern us'
Major reform is needed to the UK political system - but we wouldn't have got that from being in the EU.
A referendum is the only truly democratic process in any political system where every vote counts and we just had one - the majority say Leave.
Been over 20 years of Drip Drip of Propaganda that the EU has been bad by the print media.

Been over 800,000+ for a 2nd EU ref theres no point would prob only come back even more for Leave and im a remainer. the political reality hasnt changed enough. scotland ref maybe because what the scottish were sold has been changed so reality has changed
what is needed in the deal is maybe a 10 yr change of mind clause so if we decide its better to go back for EU membership we get the same deal we have now. but that would be a miracle to get
