Not everybody wants to be captain some people are just happy to play for the team.
Result due at 9pm. All the Tory MP's voted
May's got the magic number to remain as PM.
She wins the confidence vote
Yes 200 against 117
Rees Mogg is claiming it as a victory. Saying she should resign.
That is a lot of MPs voting against her, just because she wins doesn't mean she survives Thatcher won her vote of no confidence though I am not sure that that will happen.
The reality is nothing has really changed there are 3 options:
May's Deal - No majority in parliament
No Deal - No majority in parliament
No Brexit
^ Which shows what a farce this forced vote was as it had nothing to do with the fundamentals. I suspect it does show that if/when she is forced out the Brexiteers will not find it easy to get one of their own elected as Tory Leader. Anyone else notice how quiet Boris has been today
^ As Lord Heseltine said "there is no point in changing the singer, if you can't change the song"
Those MPs who supported her are no more than traitors, happy to believe in democracy and the ballot box until it does not go their way. The electorate will not forget this betrayal.
