It would take a really good negotiator on our behalf, to get us a deal that the US would be happy to accept, and really i guess it sends a warning to Boris what to expect (if he hasn't watched it already) then when you think about it now, it would make perfect sense to get a deal with the EU that protects us some way from allowing the US to run roughshod over us and any deal Trump (or any other president) offers us would be anything up to 99.99% in the US' favour .

"Research by Bloomberg Economics estimates that the economic cost of Brexit has already hit 130 billion pounds ($170 billion), with a further 70 billion pounds set to be added by the end of this year. That’s based on the damage caused by the U.K. untethering from its Group of Seven peers over the past three years."
"....with the British economy now 3% smaller than it could have been had the relationship been maintained."
"Business investment in particular has been held back, and annualized economic growth has halved to 1% from 2%."

Jacob Rees Mogg has just tweeted out this article, that reports on figures released by the Office for National Statistics that shows that Britain's Non-EU exports grew by 6.3% to £376.7bn compared to EU exports which saw a 1.3% growth to £296.8bn, with the caption "the world is our oyster"

"WE'RE STILL IN THE FUCKING EU !!!"
All of this is via trade deals that we have because we are a member of The EU and are going to cut ourselves off from and also says nothing about the fact that many of our exports depend on materials that come via EU supply chains and that we are going to again cut ourselves off from.
Obviously Rees-Mogg knows this, he's just a charlatan selling the snake oil that is Brexit. The worrying thing is the post has 5.1k likes. Well I say worrying thing, we've already had the vote so I guess if 17m voted for this kind of blatant bullshit its not surprising
The European Parliament's Brexit coordinator Guy Verhofstadt has said, "Britain will rejoin the EU because the younger generation will realise the country has made a mistake. The only question was how long it would take for the UK to align with the bloc again".
So what are OFFICIALLY the plans for Brexit day January 31st?
It's something like 'There will be a light show which features a clock striking 11pm on Downing St' . 11pm = midnight in the rest of the EU.
