Even the government admit they can't say what Brexit means. Until someone can say what Brexit actually amounts to and what it would involve it's impossible for anything to be decided.

The decision was to leave the EU, that's what it means. The article is there so any member can leave if they so wished. I assume it is there because people forsaw that some members might want to leave and this was the option to leave. It's not, well yes you can leave but if you do we will kill your family type of gig.

Now this vote has been taken, whether you agree with it or not, whether it will turn out to be a good thing or not, Britian HAS to leave, if it doesn't, it will be the laughing stock of the entire world and will be the complete bitch of the rest of the EU. I said this before, this U turn that the remainers are trying to force will be much worse than Seuz.

To do a U-turn now the rest of the EU will say, oh well if you want to come back NOW I'm affraid we have just found all these extra rules we just plucked out of our arse; oh and do you see all those poeple in Calais, do take them from our French soil they are soiling the view.

Doing a U-turn will be massively more damaging than leaving now, it wouldn't suprise me if it didn't trigger riots.

Britian would also have no right to claim itself a demographic country any more.

The vote was to either stay in Europe or leave, those were the two choices,we voted leave so Parliament has to get on and do it, they have had the electorates authority its decided we are leaving, I am not happy about it but for gods sake get on with it. Brexit is as usual made up initially by the press and they love to see it going on and on its more work for them. Strange however we cannot vote them out like the MP'S.

I never understand this press thing, granted I don't read papers, but from the TV and other publications all I ever see is how terrible it is to leave, we are all doomed and immirants can do no wrong. It's overwhelmingly pro Europe that I have seen. It even trickles down to documenteries such as those by Pro Alice Roberts etc, and I've seen a buckket load of those. At one time it was migration of people and invations, now it is spoken of in terms of imigration and look at all the wonderful things they brought.

People forget it wasn't a small win it was a huge win, over half of the UK voting population voted out and by a big margin. Imagine if it was a general election and Labour got in with such a margin and then the rest said, well we don't like this result, think we'd better change it; and yes I do know the referendum is advisory but the government decided to go with it at the time.
I bet EVEN if we got a military coup We STILL wouldn't get Brexit!! I think the court ruling fucks the whole article 50 process up because now the Remainers have forced a vote in Parliamenrt, I bet at every step of the process the bloody Remainers will challenge it and then the Govt will go : 'Oh what's the fucking point of doing this?' Ithikn had Dave ensured the that the decision in June was somehow legally binding (whatever it was) then we probably would be I this position right now

i'd personally get a gagging order on the m mentioning the brxit and just let the government get on with it I wonder what Jim Hacker would do?
It would be helpful if all those people who are getting heated about this decision took some time to actually read and understand what the court decided.

It confirmed the soverienty of Parliament which surely is one of the main reasons given by the Brexiteers for voting Leave! So Parliament will vote and I expect that after some debate they will support the triggering of Article 50.

The court judgement was not about whether we should leave or not. That has been decided. It is a constitutional ruling on how the decision to trigger Article 50 should be taken
Anybody who thinks Brexit might not happen needs to stop hyperventilating and get their fucking head examined.
Accusations of getting heated and hyperventilating are some what exaggerated.

Like people point out, the referendum vote is not law writ in stone, the government can ignore it and they can do that up till article 50 is triggered, THEN there's no going back.

The remaniers are desperate that this will happen, they will grasp any straw going.

The Liberal Democrats have said they will vote against it.

You're missing the point anyway. It's not whether Parliament votes to trigger article 50, it's what price is extracted from the government for voting that way. In other words, what guarantees are the government forced to give over Brexit in order to get Parliament to support it.

Unless you can define what Brexit means then your comment is a remarkably foolish one.

If for example we end up in a Norway type of position it's hard to see how that really amounts to a Brexit.

Although people like you could be pedantic and argue that technically it's a Brexit and that any Brexit's a Brexit.
