Ok maybe instead of taking Ofcom to the courts, maybe the Babechannels should come out and make their voices heard through maybe the media and point out what Ofcom are doing wrong. Let me give you examples, point out that Ofcom are not telling parents to use parental control if parents want to protect their children from certain content, instead of complaining all the time. Point out that Ofcom are more agressive with their rules with the Babechannels than what is shown on other channels. What I mean by that if Ofcom implement a rule then it stands for all channels not just one. Point out that people have a right to watch what they want and people should have the freedom to watch what they want

Thats a way I think the Babechannels could go about it, point out Ofcom's flaws

Hate to say it, but if any foreign station wishes to put shows on British TV then 100% they should conform to the rules British stations have to. Whether we agree to these rules are of course the root of this debate, but it can't be one rule for one (outside the U.K) and one rule for another (inside the U.K)

It's a nice idea in theory, but in all seriousness I suspect bogus claims could very well be seen as libelous and may well even end you up in some trouble.

Some good points but it's not about, nor has it ever been about, child protection. Ofcon have used that as a smokescreen to restrict the sexual content on UK TV.
So why are Ofcom restricting the sexual content on UK tv if its not about the protection of children?

They do not want strong sexual content on UK TV. In order to justify this stance they play the "child-protection" card.

They are on a religious/moral crusade to keep sexual stuff of our screens.
Which has been stated many times before, the reason we have censorship and Ofcom in this country is all about control, we human's have been on this planet for 200 thousand years and have evolved into having an internal consciousness to know right from wrong and are more than capable for thinking for ourselves but our Government has deemed us unfit for making our own decision.

This we are only protecting the kids is an all too convenient excuse for Ofcom to use to justify their control over us, which has allready also been stated by us on numerous occassions, Ofcom don't like porn or the babe channels, they deem them as gratuitous exploitation, it's the lowest of the low and can't be justified, but on the other hand Ofcom are not allowed to by law to ban this type of entertainment so instead they are intent on bringing them down instead by inflicting unrealistic rules and regulations which they know are clearly unworkable and are just sitting in the lions den ready to pounce.

It's a shite state of affairs but if the channels are not willing to take a stand against Ofcom then they are doomed to closure either by Ofcom themselves or bankruptcy.

i agree we have to take any possible consequences into consideration, but claims to Ofcom wouldn't necessarily be libelous. they would be subjective. different people are offended by different things. just because a claim isn't upheld, it doesn't mean you were wrong to make it.

my preference would be making complaints about anything that has warnings/disclaimers attached to it. if i program is introduced as containing material that some people may find offensive, file a complaint and say you were offended. that's what's been happening to the babeshows, hasn't it?

if we want to disrupt Ofcom we need to complain about as many different shows as possible. 650 complaints against one show would be easy for them to resolve. 650 complaints against 650 shows is a whole other ball game
