I used to think YouTube was very prudish and didnt waste much time on it, but keep finding, ahem, interesting stuff on it. No R18 yet but that might be because I dont look for it on YT. There are gynea exam educational videos so it might just be a matter of time before YT gets a credible referral to ATVOD. Then they will have to decide whether to enforce credit card payments (open to legal challenge and ridicule) or let them off (actionable by competitors).
Shh.............. We don't want ATVOD finding out about the secret bed of jewels that is Youtube. I've found ton's of good movies on there, I even found a full on porno a few times. Yeah Youtube have dropped their standards the past few years and for the better
I suspect whoever runs it no longer gives a fuck about removing Adult Content or the site has perhaps changed hands

I don't think ATVOD can touch youtube itself as it not a UK site, but they have already gone after individual channels on there where the poster is UK based. Remember they went after the BBC for their TopGear channel, but lost that one.
Also, check the last link in this post where a site chose to close it's youtube channel rather than be ATVOD regulated :

YouTube don't have editorial responsibility for the videos either. Only those with editorial responsibility are within the reach of ATVOD.
Quite right, YouTube is not UK based and lacks single editorial control. Bit like tubestation.
Meaning ATVOD cant touch a site if it gives away porn (advertising led) but can if the viewer needs a debit or credit card (is over 16).
Foreign sites where a search for Big Brother is likely to turn up incest porn are exempt from control but UK sites which broadly adhere to real UK boundaries are in scope.
One solution would be the Great Firewall of China, sorry, Dover.
A more reassuring thought is that so far as the internet goes UK judges have given up trying to force the rest of the world to follow UK law, and breaches abroad result in UK restrictions being lifted. Court order banning someone being identified, widely named abroad, judge rules the information is in the common domain so there is no point enforcing the ban. Its not quite the same, but there are parallels.

^I think you've hit the nail on the head and this is just the start. Where things will end with these encroaching attacks on our freedom and liberty I don't know, but it's important to try and stop it if we can. Exactly how we go about doing this i'm not sure, although getting rid of this UNELECTED shower of crap at the next election would be a start, but would labour be any different. I honestly don't know.
If the viewing of this content is so bad, then why are babestation allowed to broadcast on UK TV unrestricted. Yes I know that they are a foreign channel, but if you can change from a channel with restricted content to a channel with unrestricted content on the same TV with the same remote control in a room where there could be children present then surely it makes a complete mockery of OFCOMS restrictions.
They should either make Babestation broadcast restricted or better still let the other channels broadcast unrestricted. I don't see why there should be one rule for one channel and another for everyone else. Regardless of what country they come from

They are less restricted than the other channels, which is why you see more naked women on that channel compared to RLC, Studio66.
