BTW, why do think Ofcon should ‘tackle’ the BBC about it?

Maybe because this was allegedly a comedy on the BBC but the girls on a SEX CHAT CHANNEL aren't even allowed to say 'pussy'?

Surely, that should mean that it's Ofcon that are tackled about their censorship of Babe channels, not the BBC for exercising its fundamental right of free expression, and in doing so, allowing viewers to exercise theirs?
It's dual standards, that's why it's worth making the comparison. I don't want to stop the BBC broadcasting this garbage if there's an audience for it, any more than I want to stop friends telling each other rude jokes at the pub. But I do want to abolish the stupid excuse that says a feeble excuse for plot or context makes words OK, but exactly thar same words aren't OK when used entirely in their proper context.
If ofcom are defeated and more power is given back to the tv programme makers would it be possible to also add the european channels such as eurotic tv and sexysat tv on to the sky adult epg so that we're no longer having to go out looking to buy extra dishs to pick up a signal.
I've just remembered a fitting line from Michael Aspel hosting 'Have I Got News For You' regarding, I think, a Big Brother 'racism' incident...

'Yes, this is another off-the-wall ruling about offensive language from those erratic dickwads at Ofcom'

Amen Michael Aspel, Amen.

They know fine well there's always going to enough people out there, who will fall for it, thinking to themselves "Well maybe this time will be different".

Believe me it never will be as long as Ofcom exists.

When will the people finally wake up and smell what these channels are shoveling.

What exactly is Ofcom's reason behind not allowing uncut hardcore on an encrypted channel ?

They say R18 material is only allowed to be sold from a licensed sex shop and TV channels aren't licensed sex shops.
It wasn't long ago that it was illegal to even possess pornography in the UK. A draconian offence with the pariah status of possessing a nude picture now of someone under the age of 18. The internet changed that and the Executive had to bow to the swamp of porn that the Web brought, but of course with controls built in. They just legalized the "under the counter" illegal trade giving so called sex shops the right to sell BBFC "censored" 18R films. Porn in the UK is not widely available on any other platform, TV, mail order etc. all other outlets, except the "dirty old man's" shop with black widows - nice! Porn on the web has no controls, execpt the aforementioned under 18 stuff, with exceptions that leak through. A further draconian offence brought by our lovely interfering and suppressive Government; possession or viewing so called extreme porn - what is extreme porn? - Yes folks we still live in Victorian Britain, only nipples allowed after 9? actually 10pm on FTA telly, a bit more scrambled, but no erect penis, no penetration, no full frontal vaginal penetration with toys of finger. We have to be controlled in the UK because after all we may get too excited. Recent measures that have gone through the House of Crooks, further bring draconia to the UK sex scene with the induction of the vindictive Section 14 of the Policing and Crime Act. The future will see more and more and control over what we can and can't watch and what we can and can't do, a minority censoring the majority, this is the UK to a tee.

Then we all know the answer to that one.

Petition government to have a licensing system to allow TV channels to show it. Then the channels can purchase a license according to there requirements.

Grade 1=Softcore
Grade 2=Explicit
Grade 3=R18

Simple solution, but it will never happen.

Legally there is no reason why R18 cannot be shown on TV. The Broadcasting Act does not ban it - MPs could easily have included a clause banning it but did not.

Ofcom claim that PIN protection is not strong enough, so kids could see it. That is the only reason Ofcom have given in the 6 years since they were created.
