Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting the shows should go hardcore particularly because if people want to watch that the Internet can provide.
My point being, like yours,. that the shows need to relax and show us a bit more content. Many people would be satisfied with that, myself included, and it would be a much more valued service.
But like you say, it's all about the money, and the greedy bastard's royally fukk the whole concept up the exit hole and the shows become little more than a fit bird flashing her tits. It's nice but if they were allowed to relax and actually let the shows unfold it would be far better viewing for all.

Yeah, I was largely agreeing with you and expanding on your point. I honestly don't know how the babes being able to do a bit more can offend anyone more than what is currently allowed anyway. The answer is, it doesn't, and Ofcom just need a way to keep the chance of 'rule breaks' a possibility by tightening the leash. No one would be stupid enough now to go way over the top, even if the rules were relaxed.
And if an underage person accidentally flicks 900+ no matter what the content is, it's rated 18. Ofcom needs to stop pretending it's protecting kids.
Ofcom have today announced a cap on premium rate phone call charges from June 2015, so how will this effect the channels, for example if Ofcom decide to cap calls at £1 per minute, then connection charges will not be permitted for those who like to milk the system as £1 per minute will mean inclusive. For all we know Ofcom may decide to cap at a cheaper rate. They are also looking at making the rates the same for both landlines and mobiles.
So will this have a big say in the revenue of the channels, I would think so, as all premium rate services will be the same as each other. I wouldn't be surprised if some channels have to re-negotiate with some models regarding their hourly/shift rates as some obviously are paid more than others and with less revenue to play with will mean a total overhaul of the channels payment structure.
Will be interesting to see what Ofcom set the cap at come June 2015.
Lowering the price may just as likely increase calls - it doesn't automatically lead to less income.
However, it wouldn't be a surprise to see more use made of split screens to cram more girls in to compensate.
Of course, we don't know what proportion of their take comes from picture & video sales, which won't be covered by the new ruling.
I read about this earlier, but I'm still no clearer what it will actually mean. They talk about there being two charges, one from the business itself (a service charge), and an additional one from the phone operator (an access charge), hence calls from mobiles being more expensive, as the mobile operator adds an additional charge to the normal rate.
There is no mention of connection or other such charges being done away with or disallowed, and frankly I highly doubt Ofcom will cap calls at a quid, and even if they did, it may not make calls cheaper, as the cap applies only to the service charge, not the access charge, so the combined total call cost may still be the same!
The biggest change for the channels may be the need to advertise the call costs more clearly, expect even more prominet OSG's

thought said in the news that they wanted to make such additional charges a thing of the past well certainly for freephone numbers anyway the news also mentioned charges to 08 and 09 numbers so guessing that will also apply to connection charges on Premium rate numbers as well
I'm surprised nobody has posted this yet but as of March 2014 one major change will be taking place at ofcom. Current Ofcom Chairman Colette Bowe will be stepping down and Patricia Hodgson will take over the role.
Its unclear to me as to how this might effect the current rules and regulations as she will become Ed's new right hand person.

I think the key word here is to keep our expectations very low key. I don't see the point in making optimistic predictions on what changes might take place under Patricia Hodgson.
From this article from the start of 2009 many within the tabloid industry thought that Colette Bowe might have been something of a breathe of fresh air due to her free thinking in her student days in which she used to pose nude in order to earn more money when she took over from the preceding Chairman of Ofcom David Currie who many cited to be old hat at the time.
