I presume they were talking about crotch shots during the day? If so, I'd like to know where, cos I ain't seen any.

just writing what was tweeted bladewave but i did see a couple of knicker flashes from Ani james so that might've been it Rolleyes and it was day shows that cara was complaining about

No good complaining! As Stan says the lazy cows should get of their arse's and DO something about it!! How about coming on here and supporting us lot for a fucking start! Moaning bitches...
Ofcom's latest bulletin.

Well clearly another one who's talking through her fanny then. There isn't any dayshow offering crotch shots to my knowledge.

Indeed, and it's been going on for the last couple of months. bladewave
Thanks to oklahoma001 for that. December and August are always strange times for regulators, viewers and complainers.

11 complaints against ChatGirl but just 3 against all other babe channels combined? Clearly part of a targetted harassment campaign. If someone did this on Twitter it would be possible to take out an injuction against them.

On the plus side Twatcom rejected 14 complaints against babe channels (Chatgirl 11, Studio66 (night) 1, Studio66 (day) 1, Xxxxxxxxpanded 1). The complaint categories ranged from "Sexual material" (11), "Participation TV - Harm" (the usual adult category, just once), "Generally Accepted Standards" (once) and "Participation TV - Protection of under 18s" (once, suggest daytime material). Why the different categories? Covers 27 Nov to 17 Dec.

Other rejected sex related and discrimination complaints against 4thought.tv, A Girl's Guide to 21st Century Sex (sexual orientation, not sex as such), Any Answers on Radio 4, BBC News At One, Radio Exe, Brainiac: Science Abuse, Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Lemon La Vida Loca, Misfits, New Girl, Phones 4U's sponsorship credit, Rules of Engagement, Kiss FM, Peace FM, The Dirty Dozen, The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw and You've Been Framed!

Some of these I can understand but others show just how touchy and pettey some people are. I wish Ofcom consistently threw out petty complaints about babe channels too instead of launching investigations half the time and throwing the book at channels for minor transgressions.

12 full investigations listed, but no adult shows among them. Only covers 6-19 Dec, so the Christmas/New Year list wont be out for a few weeks.

Meanwhile Ofcom has made itself popular by finding that a 12a film that had been cut further by the broadcaster (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Channel 4) was unsuitable for broadcast before the watershed. The violent bit was at 8:40pm.

Leeds TV broadcast the word "Fuck" at 6:30pm. Ofcom says this is among the worst language possible, broadcasting it at kids tea time is about as bad as it gets. If a babe channel had a nipple flash at that time they would be fined or worse. Leeds TV gets a mild telling off.

National Geographic Channel broadcast a trailer at 4:30pm for their Sex season, making repeated references to sex, sex slaves, rape and teen sex. Not ideal teatime viewing, and parents do encourage kids to watch documentary channels. NGC didnt even get a telling off, the complaint was Resolved.
A National Geographic Sex Season Huh
With all this clear targeting of "incidents" being reported to Ofcom and then them dishing out their own punishment, clearly impartially in respect of other breaches across TV (as per eccles' post above, for example), but should the (fkn screaming with disbelief laughter i'm actually posting this!!) the channel bosses have ever thought about challening this type of Ofcom behaviour, the word "vexatious" is used mega favourably by the legal profession when it's clear someone/some body is on the receiving end.

Just a thought.
The channels bring it on themselves. Stupidity is their lifeblood.

They grass each other up, the reason being that they know that each and every 'complaint', no matter what the source, will be investigated. Nearly every complaint made against the babe channels is vexatious (i.e. a rival channel), but that seems to cut no ice in Ofcom land. Ofcom needs to change their methods and stop wasting public money on following up such complaints.

I agree with the comments above that Chatgirl TV is being targeted. I think it was in the previous month that they received 14 complaints in one day, which must be a record! Luckily Ofcom decided not to proceed further after an initial investigation.

Why would people be targeting Chatgirl TV? It's a pretty dumb strategy to go after the most boring and bland channel in the 900s, apart from XXXpanded, which also received a complaint! Very odd.

If you read the typically erotic Ofcom report on the incident it seems almost worth signing up to National Geographic to see the shows!

Quite right Dave. Which is why half of me really wants to see the channels go under.

Also, re my/your "vexatious" comment, i meant to suggest that it also works the other way too - by that, i mean Ofcom are "vexatiously" targeting the channels in respect of breaches and punishments etc.
