In light of this I ask once again, how can The Sex Education Show be shown at 8pm on Channel 4 when it is showing more than has been described in the above judgment!!

These wages are fucking disgusting, I allways wonder if they are getting this money on the back of all the fines they are giving the babe channels, furthermore I smell corruption and backhanders going on, what they are doing is finding any old excuse to rob the channels of their income to line their own and the greedy government MP's too, and to think that the likes of Cameron and Clegg potrayed themselves to be honest people with only our interests at heart, what a croc of shit and discraceful lie, I hope this all comes to light as I see somewhat of a scandal going on here

I think we have to stop assuming there's any logic behind Ofcom's actions. They clearly want to get rid of the babeshows. Legally, however, they can't just pull the plug on them, so they're doing everything they can to drive them out of business.

I really don't see the point in pointing out these blatant contradictions and double-standards any more. We're not dealing with anything remotely logical, legal, or fair when it comes to these people.

Great point Stan, like you've mentioned, they can't just axe the shows just like that, so their having to turn the screw as far as they can. I guess the only hope is Ofcom runs out bloody money and soon, or the government realises that they are paying these people way to much, and cut there funding? Who no's, but the way in which the global economies are in it might not be as far fetched an idea as it seems.

There isnt any logic. Encrypted adult channels can show fetish material, lesbians snogging, non explicit real shagging, breasts, nipple sucking and dildo sucking in freeviews after 9pm because being an advert provides context, the advert is representative of what is being sold.

Adult chat channels are not allowed to show any of the above until 10pm and some of it not at all because adverts lack context.

They are both adverts.

One word " HYPOCRISY "

And I wont even mention South Park on Comedy Central 9:30-10:00pm Weds 9 November, and entire show devoted to the line that musical theatre contains subtexts making women give blowjobs. The word blowjob was inserted into various lyrics with decreasing subtlty and Stans mom gives his dad (Randy) a blowjob in the car on the way home at about 9:40. Its not a kids show but the cartoon format appeals to kids and it is on a dedicated comedy channel thereby increasing the appeal for under 18s. If an adult channel babe mentioned blowjobs at 3am or started talking about being covered in a white layer of love it would be chequebook time, but hey, its comedy so thats OK.

This is making my blood boil mate, the more and more I here about things like this, I find myself trying to figure out what on earth is going on? I just can't come up with an answer. All logic has left my mind I'm afraid, I'm at a loss Eccles, plain and simple

Agree wholehartedly with the above statement Shylock. In a previous post I argued that the time was right for the Babe Channels to join forces and challenge OFCOM at a Judical Review. If they don't, I believe Babestation, Elite, Red Light etc will all go to the wall, if not straight away, then within eighteen months. People, not even the die hards among us, will pay for crap indefinitely.
As for the need to get a channel with sufficient resources to challenge the Southwark Bridge Mafia, Playboy are a pretty large organisation, so is Cellcast. Remember back to a time when those channels that we can't mention started, people on this forum were saying that because they had plenty of cash, OFCOM wouldn't dare challenge them. Well, that was a bit wide of the mark, wasn't it?
Finaly, can I ask my fellow posters here a question concerning the regulations. OFCOM can label the Babe Channels as advertising channels because the telephone number is on screen for more than twelve minutes every hour. Anybody know if this is correct?
If it is, why not just have the number on screen for say, twenty seconds a time, and for up to thirty six times per hour.
I might be clutching at straws here, but it's obvious that the Channel bosses aren't prepared to challenge OFCOM in court so other ways of beating them need to be found.
If we can get the content of these shows classed as editorial, then the rules of the game have to change, surely.
