Well, I suppose gay S&M porn is a bit much for teatime children's TV. Smile
The Adult Industry Trade Association (AITA) is challenging ATVOD's demand that UK based streaming video services must have age verification, usually reckoned to mean credit card validation at each and every visit.

Quote:AITA seeking deeper levels of clarity on the position of ATVOD

AITA is seeking deeper levels of clarity on the position of ATVOD. Whilst we fully support the issue of protecting minors from viewing inappropriate content, the stance taken by ATVOD is, in our opinion, a short term solution that penalizes UK business and individuals who trade on a global stage. ATVOD continue to exercise what appears to be a broader jurisdiction than was intended and as a result, lack clarity and competence when dealing with specific matters relating to Rule 11 in particular.

Adult Entertainment and content is mostly promoted and provided by utilizing the global internet. ATVOD remain of the view that a local solution, by forcing Age Verified Services for any UK based or managed business, will be sufficient and we have proven on many occasions, with the proliferation of content available outside the UK, that their current remit fails to achieve anything, other than unfairly bias and harm UK individuals and businesses who have always conformed to rules and regulation.

AITA will continue perusing a considered legal option of ATVOD’s alleged outreach and unfair tactics, whilst collaborating with our colleague’s world wide to provide a more fulfilling solution, which allows all companies in this market sector to be treated equally.

My large TV has a vga socket on it. If I want to watch porn on it, I just plug my laptop in.
Sexstation looks good on the large screen. Smile
Also some newer and more expensive laptops have an hdmi output which can be plugged into any modern TV.
As anyone else noticed that not only Adult TV as become non- sexy, but the majority of the girls have become non-sexy with it. It is the norm for them just to lie on whatever piece of furniture is on the set and do nothing that could be remotely classed as erotic. I just wish they knew that having silicone breasts and a body full of tattoos doesn't mean they are sexually appealing. And before anyone comes back at me for mentioning such things, I have no objection to the girls having either, but they also need not a small amount of sexual chemistry. In my opinion I would say that not more than six girls presently possess what is needed for these shows to be anywhere near to sexy. Sexy girls or very rare and by that I mean it comes as second nature to them, they are just naturally appealing. For me to say six is very much on the optimistic side And not all those six, if any, would be classed as being the top girls. And if I am being totally honest with myself, In the few years that I viewed these shows, then I would have to say that just one girl as filled the criteria in full to be able to say."Now she is a sexy girl"...
More bullshit from ofcom. This is the latest.

Go on. its christmas get youself a cheap laptop with HDMI out..you know you want to,,all that extra detail but dont tell ofc+nts they will ban laptops with HDMI out.

Thats what all the kids are doing anyway just pop in your desired porn of choice into Google on laptop (which is fisting according to sex education show on channel sexist 4)and get all your free porn..This is not adults this is 12,13,14,15 year olds and they need protecting,HAHA,these kids under 16 are getting more sex, porn vids and know more than when i was a kid or even now...We need protecting from these oversexed under 16 year olds..PLEASE OFCOM PROTECT US ADULTS FROM THE KIDS.Tongue

The most taboo thing on tv is female genitals yet all the lads and some lasses on tv laugh at labia and clits they want to get the fist in their and oftw+ts think they need protecting..The thing i hate about kids is the swearing and anti-social behaviour yet thats on tele all the time and drugs yet all ofcom care about is a clit/labia minora/vaginal hole and urethra harming them,..

Yes you kids drugs and guns and violence and bombs wont kill you but a giant vagina will.I think the police should issue warnings seriously about these female parts injuring harming and killing under 18's...This is no joke if ofcom think its that serious the police should be involved in this most serious of crimes..DEATH BY VAGINA.

The way things are going you wont be able to do that without getting your credit card out.
Lets see what Ofcom are complaining about and how it relates to their research.

Time: Before watershed. Ofcom research says brief sex or nudity is acceptable at 9pm, does not apply here.

For content "Implying intercourse (where expected)" - the research panel felt this was Mild to Moderate.
Kissing with evident sexual overtones - panel felt this was "fairly mild"
Since there was no nudity "kissing with evident sexual overtones" would seem to be the nearest benchmark, and Ofcoms latest research fom May 2009 rated that "fairly mild".
I am not sure, but are music vids with shaking bums banned during the day?

Factors considered to make material less acceptable include time of broadcast in the crude sense of before or after the watershed, and how much after the watershed. For broadcasts before the watershed there is no automatic distinction between different times of day.

But likely audience is a factor. For example small children are more likely to be watching at 6pm than 8pm. The whole family is likely to be watching TV at 7:30-8:30am while eating breakfast.

But just because they are watching TV that does not make it "likely" that they will be watching ChatGirl TV. Ofcoms own research says small kids are unlikely to be watching. Older teens who deliberately seek out girlyshows might, but they are less likely to be harmed by it.

Ofcom quote the presenter offering to put on a pair of boots. Is that really shocking or offensive?

Is so when will they start taking action against daytime fashion shows?

The licence is owned and operated by Playboy UK TV.
Ah.
Thats what they find really offensive.

That would be the same Playboy UK TV that notified ATVOD in June that it was relocating editorial responsibility to Canada, confirmed by Playboy in September. ATVOD decided they did not believe enough had been done and that Playboy UK TV should continue to be regulated as a UK based TV on demand provider. If they provide any R18 content without credit card verification (each time) they can be fined like Strictly Broadband was. http://www.melonfarmers.co.uk/me_atvod_12a.htm

Reading the papers this morning I read that we are in for another above inflation busting price hike in our gas and electricity bills. Which leads to the question. "Why oh why don't Ofgem carry as much sway as their all powerful cousins Ofcom". If they had as much power over the gas/elec suppliers as Ofcom have over the broadcasters, all our gas and electric bills could be paid with the loose change in our pockets. But i'm afraid everything that is going on with the people who are in charge, is to find a way to bring down the common people and wipe out any semblance of enjoyment we may enjoy, whether it be keeping warm, eating anything slightly unhealthy, having a drink or smoke. And "tut tut" god forbid, admiring a pretty girl on our TV sets.
Some good news for Chat Girl TV in the latest Ofcom bulletin:
