Well just to let you know William Hill have offered odds of Ed Richards being offered the job at 10/11. So for the time being all I can say is good Luck ED we're all rooting for you on this forum.

PS - Make sure you get a good nights kip beforehand, for once ED don't be up allnight cracking one off to the Babe Channels like you usually do laugh
Great post SB, I'm with you mate, come on Ed the BBC needs youImportant
with all the commotion going on elsewhere maybe the channel directors will feel a little more relaxed than of late knowing that ofcom and the rest of associations included in investigations will be more focused on trouble at mill, if you get my meaning , and not have to worry too much about the odd nip slip at 9.55 on a night Huh

A colleague friend who works at Broadcasting House said the atmosphere the was dreadful horrid & appalling today and not a nice place to be and over the last few days and maybe in anger certain bosses scapegoating people not remotely connected with any of these scandals high and low in fustration.

This whole sorry state and mess(es) will be overshadowing things so much over the oncoming months & year or more that I'm afraid other than dealing with ongoing complaints & stuff, changes and liberalisation of the adult babe tv channels are likely to be near the bottom of OFCOM, MP's, regulator & government priorities given the almost unprecedented mammoth size and scale of the legal and other investigations by broadcasting authorities, police, law, government and any other independent investigations, enquiries and also private prosecutions that will also happen along the way.

Yes it's always right to continue to and have ongoing discussion about everything on here, but at the moment and I suspect for quite a long time yet, the chances of any changes and regulators having time to do anything constuctive is pretty remote!

Hard luck so all complaints go out the window,,dont think so if they cant handle the workload sack em,we all have BAD days at work but private sector have to put up with it year after year..These folk who work in public sector get away with murder they resign and get another job..Lets take Justine Greening she caused the West coast mainline fiasco costing taxpayer minimum 45 million quid but she has still got a job,,if i did that as a private sector worker i would be in jail..They all stick up for each other all hidden in privacy till a scandal is unearthed .

I like the way it says that if you want an internal review if not satisfied contact Graham Howell,HA,,the person who does not answer you ,the person who does another good job of hiding so you cant find him..Graham Howell does not do his job he is another person protected and hidden by public sector so you cant infiltrate them till some newspaper gets in and does so..They think they are protected but week by week people get really pissed off and holding enquirys or protesting and were winning.

I know so many who even at certain level of profile get blocked by Graham Howell,,how can we bring him out to answer why he blocks emails or ignores them if we cant find him..Yes the public sector all stick up for themselves all spending our tax money but try to bring them to justice and you cant get hold of them.

The amount of bullshit that comes out these MPs and such on tv is off the scale and when it goes sour they dont answer the question(or email)..We all get stuff wrong but we are accountable for it yet the the public sector just get off with it and keep their jobs..Thats whats happening,BUT, bit by bit all these corruptions and wrong doings are being dug up..The public sector is been unearthed as you see week after week on tv...

Oh great Ed will turn BBC into cheap trash Channel like CH4 & CH5 ..We will see even more male genitals than the 200+ been on UK tv this year..

Had replies from Ch4 and CH5 last week still saying, "Pixellations will carry on in our programmes of female genatalia in accordance with Ofcoms rules..We are sorry you feel this upsets you but the removal or pixellation of female genitalia is excercised else this would break Ofcoms rules.

Nearly threw sodding laptop through window,,that is pure sexism. You dont pixellate out male genitals tho do you and your showing the documentarys so your sexist and as to blame as Oftwats. So if you think anything is going to change on Babestation when female genatalia is outright BANNED on UK there is no chance..Thats it no more Babestation i watched as much Babestation as possible last week on Freeview and most of the time they were wiggling phone at camera...One said "Come on i am oil up and naked and ready to talk dirty what more do you want but no one called.
Clare Richards. Any relation?
Good news folks on the ED Richards for BBC job. He has infact emerged as the bookmakers new favourite for the post. Let's hope he gets it and that he is successful. Hopefully if he goes a new chapter might just begin in earnest with less censorship starting with the babe channels. I have my fingers crossed here Big Grin

Its a win-win situation. Either they appoint him, he leaves Ofcom, gets major culture shock at the BBC from independent minded producers who wont suck up to him and leaves quietly (sorry, steps aside) after a year, or he applies and is rejected yet again. Being a double reject would be bad enough, but any decision or announcement unfavourable to the BBC or favourable to their competitors could be put down to sour grapes, making his position at Ofcom untenable. Or he doesnt apply and leaves himself open to accusations that he does not believe he is good enough.

But quite frankly what makes anyone think that Ofcom is going to change its attitude just because Richards may leave. I think it smacks of clutching at straws and would be surprised if his departure led to any liberalisation of the regulations. Of course, I hope I'm wrong, but somehow doubt that I am.
