Rich guy cheats on his taxes. Again, not especially shocking or unusual. I’m sure he’s not the only developer to overvalue property for lending purposes and undervalue it for tax purposes. In the absence of a complaining victim, the only way to catch this will be for the authorities to go hunting for it. Which is what they did when Michael Cohen tipped them off.
But I’m not trying to defend this behaviour. Of course it’s unethical, immoral, and illegal.
My point is only that when CNN and MSNBC breathlessly hyperventilate over every little transgression as if it’s the crime of the century, all they do is feed the “everyone’s out to get me” narrative which is making him more and more popular.
^ It's like they don't understand that they are part of the problem.

Trump takes it to extremes though. Take The Trump National Golf Club in New York which Trump valued at $50m. Quite a reasonable valuation actually, given that he paid $8m to buy the land and $45m to build the golf course. But for tax purposes he claimed the value was only $1.35m. Who else is committing fraud on that kind of scale?

Speaking of golf courses, just look at his score card for evidence of his poor mathS, takes a dozen shots to get on the green, half a dozen putts to hole it, yet it still goes down as a one under par
Of course he'll deny that was him, he trusted his caddy to fill his card in correctly, and he just signed it off.
After Trump states he would encourage Putin to attack NATO States who don't "pay their way", Retired General Wesley Clark fires a warning shot...
Trump thinks the US Military, particularly those serving overseas would just stand by and watch this happen. That's a very dangerous gamble.
More winning in the NYC Fraud case. Trump found liable and must pay $354 Million for overstating his net worth. He's also been banned from doing business in NYC for 3 years. Eric & Don Jr banned for 2 years.
There's also pre-judgment interest to add to the total which should nudge the final amount north of $400 million and if he wants to appeal he will probably be required to hand the full amount over to the court before it goes ahead.
The first criminal trial starts in 5 weeks.
