^ Yes just because you can think up examples where relatively slight men excel in some sports doesn't mean on AVERAGE a trans women wouldn't have advantages over your average birth female.
If there was a medical procedure female athletes could undergo to give themselves the advantages outlined in Rake's post, it would likely be banned as unfair and unethical in the way steroid use is. How is what we're talking of here any different?
Can I just say that I agree with Skully on this? I would only say that IMO the only area for me, where equality needs to happen much quicker is what women athletes are paid in terms of winning titles/championships whatever. I do admit that I may be far off in terms of how much women athletes are paid compared to men lately, but I am sure the gap is closing. I agree that governing sports bodies are the ones that have to make that decision on where & how trans athletes can compete, not individual governments, and ignorance is one thing I hope will change in sport in 2021.
The reason I used male examples is because there are not a lot of examples of mixed gender sports. The average height & weight for a man in the UK is 5ft 9in & 83.6 kg, for a woman it is 5ft 3in & 70.2kg. Given that this is less of a gap than Haye/Valuev & Dallaglio/Robinson i don't buy the idea that cis woman would not be able to compete with trans woman because of a physical imbalance because strength is not the only attribute that matters in sport.
I don't see how a woman fighting a man in equal weight categories would result in a certain victory for the man. Are you seriously saying that if Katie Taylor or Amanda Nunes fought a man in their weight class with similar reaches they would definitely lose?
The biggest difference between men & woman's sports is professionalism. Men's sports have been professional for a lot longer than woman's which results in there being more money allowing the participants to pursue their discipline full time with better facilities & personnel at their disposal. The FA banned woman's football from taking place on Association pitches from 1921 to 1971, given how far the sport has come from since then, who knows where it would be if it had that extra 50 yrs of development. If the Manchester City Woman's team was standing on the shoulders of an extra 50 years of development, had a team that more represented the quality of the men's team, say a squad like Olympic Lyon & a manger of the caliber of Guardiola I don't think it would be the cricket score you predict.
As Trump's no longer President maybe we need a new thread.
Two of the Columbia lawyers paid for by Trump's supporters are no longer on Trump impeachment defense team by mutual decision.
Yeah call it The Dodgy Adventures Of Trump

Risen to five now, apparently.
Trump wants to base his defence on alleged election fraud and none of the lawyers were prepared to proceed on that basis.
And some of the Qanon nutters arrested now want to testify for the prosecution because they're pissed that Trump didn't pardon them
Are the qanon folk the ones who believe that lizard people are taking over ?
They will, now that you've mentioned it
Americans they are a funny lot lol
