The issue with Hillary offering something was that she didn't have anything to offer, she focused on how awful Trump was because she didn't have any serious policy (the Dems don't have any serious policy because the corporations own them, own the Republicans too but they know how to bullshit to voters and deflect from serious issues better than the Dems), it was "let's continue the last 8 years" which were a disastrous 8 years for the people living in the rust belt. Which is where the election was lost. About 100,000 votes in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin are what made the difference.
Biden is offering the same thing as Hillary, a "return to the Obama years". Before the pandemic I don't think it would have worked and I would have guessed Trump would win comfortably, but I think Biden has a slight shot now. But not because of what he can offer, it's just circumstance that might get the Dems voted in. I also think Trump will shred Biden in the debates, only time will tell if they make a difference though.
Certainly they are both light on policy but I don't think that matters too much, it does to the Democratic base, to the wider electorate. I think electoral politics is about one thing & one thing only, perception. If you give out the perception that you have got the voters back then I think you will get their support
Trump had practically no policies all rhetoric (Make America Great Again & Build the Wall) & it got him in The White House
Boris had practically no policies just get Brexit done & won a landslide, aided of course by the lack of opposition
The Brexit Party literally had no manifesto in the EU elections & received the most votes
Obama was policy light, yet won the largest popular vote in the country's history with hope, change & yes we can
Corbyn had one of the most policy heavy manifestos in 2019 up to the point where it became saturated & perceived as an unrealistic Marxist letter to Santa & led the party to its worst defeat in nearly a century
I'm obviously not saying Biden should not have any policies, I just don't that a politician's policies should be the centrepiece of their campaign. Rather it should be the narrative that they want those policies to make & then as they are telling that narrative they throw in some headline policies to give it credibility. Everything else should just be on a website under the heading of "if you want to know more go to JoeBiden.com "
Bet trump is fucking shitting himself WTI Crude price hit 4$ a barrel
That'll be reflected in petrol prices at some point - must be loads of oil workers furloughed across the world
I wonder if Trump sent NK's Kim a message after Kim having surgery? apparently he's not doing very well
Everything Trump screws up you can rely on him to try to deflect the blame for in one direction if he can:

Everything to the dodgy politician (particularly of the PT Barnum variety like Trump and the lite version we have over here) is always the 'others' fault. It helps them slide from responsibility and champion empty vacuous sloganeering rhetoric that promises the world of change, gets them elected, but almost always delivers so very little to the mass of regular folks.
the June prices are dropping as well bascially got 2 much oil that they cant even store the stuff now hence the costs and US cant cut the wells off because they will destroy them
Russians and Saudis have got what they wanted the destruction of the US producers. estimates are a load of small suppliers will be bankrupt late this year and more will go bust next year
Thoe Russian probably will the ones who will likely push the price back up
