More Trump news - he has named an Anti LGBT & and Anti Abortion ex-Congressman as Ambassador to The Netherlands. Pete Hoekstra was born in Holland but is being described there as "more like a Dutchman from the 1950's".
He also supports the death penalty and has argued that refugees are a threat to Europe.
I wonder if the Dutch Government will consider refusing him as Ambassador?
I would like to think Trump could be trying to break up the EU as much as we are trying to leave it
Can't see the above appointment will go down too well with the Dutch Government

I think you're giving him too much credit for having an actual strategy.
His thought process was probably more along the lines of "He's Dutch, you say? Great, let's send him to Holland, they'll love him".
so, do we like brain cancer now? i'm so confused!
the irony of trump's tweets thanking mcain for showing up for the healthcare vote is delicious! lol.
Get the feeling was more to do with the Transgender ban for Mccain the old warrior didnt like the way he was going after serving members of Military
^^ Apparently many in the military are unhappy with Trump as well, saying he can't run the military by tweets, he'll have to go through official channels to make this a policy.
The Senate has also unanimously passed a motion for further sanctions on various countries, including Russia.
The ruskies are fighting back by demanding america remove some diplomats. Trump has to either sign this motion and piss off his chum Putin, or veto it and piss off his own party.
And his new press dude, Sacaramango, Scarface, whatever his name is, is publically hurling obscenities at others on the whitehouse staff, which isn't going to end nicely.
Tough at the top isn't it Donnie

When he returned to the Senate earlier this week and voted in favour of discussion starting on the healthcare proposal he explicitly said he could not support the proposals in their current form and wanted bi-partisan discussion. The idiots running the Republican Party failed to heed that warning and tried to ram through repeal of Obamacare. McCain knows how bad that would be for people in Arizona. Other Republicans who voted in favour of repeal last night are now coming under pressure as they failed to listen to how their constituents asked them to vote.
Oh and when Trump tweeted about transgender military earlier this week it seems many in the US military thought he was going to announce war against North Korea as there was a 9 minute gap between his first tweet (below) and his 2nd saying it was about transgender military!
"after consultation with my generals & military experts please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow ..."

SNIP
He seems to think that he can run a country 'by tweets', so why not the military, too?
