Dating apps and women on them are pointless
This current and growing trend of starting every fucking sentence with the word "so".
It's especially prevalent on radio phone in shows when someone is answering a question.
I'm convinced it's worked its way into mainstream conversational english via a clique of yuppie type tv script writers... i've seen so many good television series runied (for me) by every other fucking sentence starting with "so".
It's a bit of a "first world problem" I'll admit, but once you notice it, you can't un-notice it.
^ So what do you suggest instead? laughlaugh

I hate it. I wonder if it's a bit like starting a sentence with err or erm, in a way of allowing extra thinking time before you get down to saying what you want. I can distinctively remember being told a school not to start a sentence with So, it's just wrong.

I've noticed that Hi has been replaced by Hey, an Americanization perhaps, but annoying all the same.
Hi and hey are interchangeable for me on the forum, I do it out of the need to not say the same thing all the time, there are only so many PM's you can send without wanting it to sound even a tiny bit different. I was tempted to start my PM's with Oi and Oi Fuckface when telling somebody off, but it's too aggressive. As for so, it's a bad habit I think I have unfortunately, I don't do it when speaking as I'm not mental, but I freely admit the crime in text form.
I'm off to give myself a warning, maybe sit in the corner for a bit laugh

I'll tell you something that still gets on my tits, it's when somebody quotes a content post, asks a question within the post they're quoting, meaning those not paying attention or skimming end up missing that persons mistake and thank it as if it's them who have posted content, a minor annoyance, but still one.
The one thing I really loathe is people randomly adding the word 'like' into every fucking sentence.

I was like "This is so unfair."
And he was like "Have you complained about it?"
And I was like "I didn't see the point"
And he was like "You really should complain."

FFS annoyed
I hate my fucking heating contractors!!! Waited all day for them to fix my boiler never turned up and have re - booked for Thursday

If they don't turn up then - I'm going all electric and be done with having gas and boiler heating!!
When you reply to, or comment on a post & the reply back completely ignores/fails to read what you wrote. Rude. I've been saying this for a while, the art of debate is dead. I kinda kills the whole ethos of this or any other forum.

If you do, beware of going down the storage heater path - they're shite!

I strongly advise you to avoid Electric heating as long as you possibly can. If you think a gas boiler is expensive to run, you ain't seen nothing yet.
