Tried turning them around. warming them up and lot to no avail. Had to watch Bargain hunt rather than Becky B at one point!.
Life is cruel at times
made worse that you can't find said replacement batteries...
Finally arrived home at 6am this morning.
Thankfully the hospital is only a 5 minute walk from home.
Been struggling with blocked bowels and severe pain in the abdomen for a few weeks now but especially in the last 7 days where I have been really quite poorly.
Finally I am on the right combo of treatments to sort it out which is a relief.
Blood tests revealed I have extreme inflammation around my abdomen which has at times been utterly excruciating.
Being inside hospitals as a patient is no fun.
Gives me the creeps.
Although I waited many many hours to be seen I have nothing but positive words to say about the NHS staff who were and always are immaculate and wonderful in my experience.
They are so obviously under so much stress and strain and I am very proud of them all.
My Dad is a retired consultant physician who was NHS through and through so I have a natural bias towards our wonderful hospital staff. Love them all

All the very best for a speedy recovery mate. If you feel that you have step away from the forum to recover - do so. Don't over do things even with Christmas coming up. I can imagine Christmas dinner isn't going to to be much fun to eat either so just hope you recover and somehow still enjoy it the best you can.
All the best again.
Finding out my hearing aid doesn't like cold temperatures!!
Started sending Easter eggs to the shops today, on the packaging it says display from 4 Jan FFS let's have Xmas before starting building up to Easter
Every damned thing is a commercialist jamboree these days.
Christmas and Easter not celebrated for the right reasons. It's all just an excuse for loads of money to be wasted and everybody stuffing their faces. Utter bollocks really

I long since gave up with Christmas.
The only positive is the days off.
