Having now lost my mum & uncle to cancer, just want to say I'm here if you need a chat. Don't be afraid to get help when you need it
Sad day today attending the funeral of a friend I met when I was at school. Our lives were interconnected for years and although when I moved away we had far less contact I have to say that when I heard of his death it hit me hard. If ever a funeral can be a lovely affair his was perfectly put together and friends and family paid their respects and laughed at our memories of times long ago.

I think we all often have regrets at not keeping in touch with our school mates when we finished school, I have often seen pepole I went go to school with from time to time in work, but I never made the point of keeping in touch afterwards and probably do regret that condolenceds on the loss of your friend.

It's probably the one thing we guys finid difficult to tlak to our doctors about. We should have a babechanels forum what's app group so we can all hop in and chat there on things like this there when we need to.
When you're looking forward to calling a girl only for her to spend her entire show doing private sessions Rolleyes
^^ I'm having a similar ;problem, bladewave a good chance it's the same babe. Sad
Not sure about pissed off, but upset.

Was supposed to have a telephone appointment with my neurology consultant team at 2:00 pm, but the hospital never called. I had reminders sent by letter and by text message the week before. I have had to call them back, was told by the secretary that they have the appointment on record and my contact details are all correct, but they still have "no idea why there was no call unless he was behind in the clinic". Was told the next available appointment was 19th July. Surprised

Rejected that date, was then told the neurologist would contact me "some time this week". I got upset on the phone. Now I feel ashamed for reacting that way with other people having far worse situations in the current state of the world. Trouble is, it was an important call and it affects other things. I took a day off from my volunteer work for the appointment.

They have just phoned again and said the doctor tried to call me but that's not true. No missed call, no private number. Had to apologize and hang up, too stressed to keep talking.

Don't know what's happening now to be honest. Sad

The NHS is a wonderful thing, until you run into useless doctors and bad admin staff that is. My sister got a call half an hour before an appointment to say the doctor was off sick, she'd travelled over an hour for the appointment at that point, it turns out the doctor had been off the whole morning and the day before, but they hadn't bothered to give her a heads up. This is after pushing back an operation by a fucking year, partly due to covid, partly because the doctor is a specialist, and they are often in short supply and high demand. This was to get the wheels back in motion, her new appointment is a month later bladewave

I think it's perfectly understandable to be upset, yes, they are understaffed and overworked, but, when it's their mistake, then they need to own up and fix it asap, rather than fobbing a patient off and pushing things back. There are plenty of examples of them saying they called but nobody answered, when it's a lie to try to cover their arse, do they not understand that people take the time to be where they need to be for important calls or appointments. Not everyone casually misses an appointment and doesn't care they've wasted everyone's time.

Be upset, be angry even, as long as you keep your cool and aren't nasty to anyone, then you've done nothing at all wrong mate.
