Some good news. You might recall I was let down badly by a place called Bramley Farm when I bought a book for my mother 'Bernard Who?'(autobiography of Bernard Cribbins-a national treasure) for delivery at Christmas and was sorely let down by them and they never returned my e-mails; did get my money back though. Anyway I decided to go to a local Waterstones shop and order it - hey presto! got a call from them this morning that it is in and I can pick it up next week. Although it's not Christmas I do get the chance to finally give it to her for Mothering Sunday next week so that is a stroke of luck.
One appointment I'm not looking forward to making with doctor's...

My brother had the same procedure, filled him with drugs and he felt no pain. When he got home, a few glasses of a good malt helped heal the gums. Take it easy bud
Having to rush to hospital
When your Nephew, who you've treated more like a son announces to the World on Facebook that he's asked his girlfriend to marry him yet can't be bothered to call or even text you with the news first....
That in itself is bad enough, but the fact that he hasn't even bothered to call his Grandmother is fucking unforgivable.
Pissed off? Nah. Fucking Seething is nearer the mark.
The way news and sports presenters seem to flit from BBC to Sky to ITN etc in whatever order. There was a guy on BBC yesterday and I spent the first 30 seconds of his report thinking "weren't you on Sky last week?" I don't know what kinds of contracts these folks have, but they don't seem to have any difficulty moving hither & yon.
When your neighbour thinks it's a good idea to burn stuff in one of those garden chimney things, but doesn't seem to care that the breeze is blowing the smoke straight into your fucking house. The windows have been slightly open, because you know, it's been warm, so now the whole place fucking stinks. Seriously!
