Mate's daughter was accosted outside a shop by her bf's father who threatened her with physical harm if she didn't stay away from his son (nothing wrong with the lassie, the bf has long standing issues with the father that pre-date her. She's just in the crossfire).
Despite reporting it to the police and even pointing them in the direction of the shop cctv, that the shopkeeper readily agreed to keep (he heard everything and was as shocked as she was), they did fuck-all. Even after she went back in a week later and kicked off at the counter.
^Depends entirely on which force area you're in. Some will take it more seriously than others.
It shouldn't be that way but it is.

I'd say that making threats is one that the police probably look at but don't take much further, but to carry out said threats is a different matter altogether.
I'd say that the bf's father should have been at least spoken to by the fuzz and he should have been warned that any further threats would have resulted in his arrest and I doubt the bf would press charges against his own father but I'm sure he would just to protect her.
I think it is high time maybe cars were taco-graphed like HGV's are. It probably would be useful evidence in situations like Reg's, but if street cameras caught anything of said incident it should be looked at.
Well and truly throwing my toys out the pram today. And not satisfied with that if I see any other prams around I will throw toys out of them as well
