Just sat down to have me tea and watch Dad's Army at 1930hrs on BBC2.
Come the appointed time and their is still some bunch of layabouts playing musical instruments. annoyed.
A quick reconoitre of the TV schedules tells me that Dad's Army has been shunted forward to make way for The Proms. even more annoyedannoyedannoyed
I would like to get that TV scheduler and shove a whole load of trumpets up his arseBig Grin
The fact that I have watched 'em a trillion times, and have 'em on DVD as well, is no consolation.
This is a class war statement from the BBC telling us that the jumped-up hoy polloi are more important than us ordinary folk.

In one episode of Dad's Army Mainwaring tells Wilson, that after the war things will be different in as much as the "common" man (Mainwaring'words), will be runing things and not the public school types; a remark aimed at Wilson who comes from an aristocratic background.

Sorry, George Mainwaring, you were absolutely wrong.
Nothing has changed and never will.

I recall that on my "New Recruit" introductory post, that Winsaw said I would fit in well if I were sad and angry.
Well Winsaw old bean I'm really effin sad and angry now mate, that TV scheduler would be on the end of my bayonet given half a chance.
Bastard BBC, bastard BBC etc and etc. annoyedannoyedannoyed

Yes Doddle, you are absolutely right, but I would still like to borrow Jones's bayonet, cos "they don't like it up 'em"
Send a strongly worded letter to the BBC.
They don't like it up em.

If I had the time Tractor Boy I would. But you see this war and my committments at the bank, make it rather awkward.
Would you mind awfully if I asked you to draft a letter for me, put it in the forum and then we can all sign it and sent it to the --
