That doesn’t sound too clever. What HAVE you been doing to yourself?

Did you turn the radio on just as Chubby Checker’s ‘Lets Twist Again’ was starting, and you decided to get stuck in, only to overdo things? Wink

Seriously though, go see the quack if it doesn’t improve. What you’re describing sounds pretty strange if there is no obvious reason for it happening.

One of my workmates plays the air-raid siren on his phone whenever he hears a human voice on a cold call & one my neighbours claims he plays the receptionist role & asks the person to wait whilst he tries to put him through. Then holds the phone up to the radio speaker tuned into Classic FM & then every 30 seconds just re-iterates that he is trying to put the caller through (& repeat the process until the caller hangs up) just to get a taste of their own medicine. My neighbour even claims he had a cold-caller waiting for about 10 minutes waiting to be put through.

My mobile phone is mainly used for work purposes & so I don't give my number to every Tom,Dick or Harry without good reason but the amount of cold calls I get on it is a complete joke from bogus PPI claims to accidents & mobile insurance to Government certified home insulation is a complete joke.Whenever I ask how they got my number is usually when they hang the phone up.I did hear from various advisers on tv that say to ignore all cold-callers (dodgy numbers usually come up) because merely answering the call confirms the number is active.I did see the worst companies/establishments for selling your details (phone numbers, addresses etc) to other companies are the DVLA,Local Councils,HMRC,Trade Unions & Banks/Building Societies.
I do love wheeling & dealing & looking for bargains on Ebay from work-tools,gym equipment, dvd's & video-games etc I usually save hundreds over the year compared to shopping at various retailers but the fraudsters masquerading as sellers on there are rife. One of the main scams on Ebay are for fraudsters hacking into existing reputable accounts & try selling non-existent items on there trying to pocket the money & then do a runner.Over the past 4 months I have bought around 10 different items (all separate sellers) via Paypal & within 6 hours I'll get a message from Ebay telling me the account of the seller I've bought from has been compromised/hacked & then follow the procedure to claim a refund. What is a joke apart from how easy it seems for fraudsters to hack into existing accounts (& then try to flog 50+ copies of Red Dead Redemption 2 for 30 quid each for example) is how long Ebay/Paypal take to refund you where paying for something is instant but claiming a refund can sometimes take 5-7 days. The pattern I've noticed about which type of accounts fraudsters try to hack are usually established, reputable Ebay users whose accounts may have had little or no activity in the past 4 months or longer. On all the fraudulent items I attempted to buy I have managed to get refunds on Paypal on all of them luckily.Ebay really do need to sort their shit out with these scam-artist maggots & protect the genuine Ebay account holders more.

Through past experience I would advise anyone who has an Ebay account to check their account now & again particularly if it doesn't get used much (just to make sure their accounts haven't been hacked with someone trying to flog non-items on there to scam a few quid). And if anyone see's a bargain too good to be true send the seller a quick message just to confirm the item & sale is genuine.

Would it were that simple but I might have overstretched reaching for something and it appears to be easing, although getting dressed was impossible so stayed in pyjamas all day. Took another Neurofen earlier and will see how things go later. Not really a doctor thing unless it was more than a week. Still fed up though.
Had a call purporting to come from BT informing us we would be cut off but Dad called BT and as we suspected it was a scam. Some friends of ours had a novel way of dealing with cold calls, they pretend to be police and advised them that their call was being recorded. Surprisingly, they soon hung up Big Grin
should have been in the air flying to Prague as i type this for a weeks holiday but my flight was cancelled due to Bristol airport being closed by 2 inches of show, hopefully my rebooked flight will run tomorrow
Had a call earlier from one of those automated "we heard you had an accident" mug off companies... bladewave

Tip for you all, if Leeds comes up in your phone & you don't know anyone up there, bin the call to save the annoyance.
Spent 3 days installing a new heating system....it's great. House is red hot at last.

So why is this in the "pissed off" thread ?

Because i got in the car to go and do some shopping earlier, tried to start it and the fucking dashboard lit up like Blackpool Illuminatons. It turns on the starter but won't fire up Rolleyes

I have a feeling it's not going to be cheap.

Most of the rubbish we get is via the main house phone(and we are with a monitoring service so the calls are very few these days)-the only annoyance on mobile phones is from the provider like O2 or EE etc with this whizzo offer BUT what really annoys me is that when you try to text STOP to 2000(as it says you can) it doesn't recognise the number!!
