My Dad phoned our surgery this morning before 8am(when they open) to make an appointment to see the doctor(as he had a bad cough, chest infection as it turned out) and rang 1min before 8am. The recorded voice told him the surgery was still closed, so he tried again and got the same message. Literally a few seconds after 8am he rang for a third time and was told he was in a queue...no 14! Later when we got to the surgery he asked what on earth was going on and they didn't seem to know. It was so much more efficient when you had one receptionist who knew what she was doing and it didn't matter what time you rang.!!
