Just had news that a water company will be replacing pipe work in our street in the next few weeks and it means yet again more disruption, more noise to put up with all day for up to six weeks and the lovely new brickwork that replaced our old paving stones will have to be dug up and no parking aloud for up to four weeks - sheesh! What a year!

I was in WH Smith yesterday and there was a sign up reading something like "Plays & Peotry". I mean, the number of people who must have looked at that and gone "yep, looks fine to me"...

It always irks me at work that people on a higher pay grade & who should know how to spell, can't. Some of the signs & general notices in our place are terrible. One idiot even spelled the word 'entitled' as 'intitle'. Another refuses to use spell check or even their own eyes, while writing "Traditiona sunday roast". They even laminated that one & posted it three places in the canteen. (ignoring the lack of an 'l' in Traditional, what about capitalising the word 'Sunday'?) Not to mention that meal was for a Wednesday, meaning it wouldn't be a Sunday roast in any case.

I really should have their job, & their pay grade.
^That'll be harsh if it's a work experience trainee...Tongue

I walked away, then I walked back, in case I'd misread it or something (not impossible). But no.

I couldn't take a pic of it for humorous effect, and there were few enough staff anyway.

The chances are either a) everyone mentions it and they're sick of it (but not to the point of ripping it down), b) no-one mentions it because we're all too polite and sympathetic, c) there's nobody tall enough to change it.
I would have to say that it's not the staff's fault - if it came from HQ then it 's HQ issue
