Another thunderstorm, more heavy rain, yeah, this sucks.

I prefer this cooler weather to the mad baking hot temperatures we had last month, a nice bit of respite.

Yeah bring on the ice ice baby

I prefer the cooler weather, but the sunshine definitely brings out the crop tops, micro shorts and mini skirts.

But that's enough about my wardrobe.

Waitrose, eh? Bloody hell, no wonder Aldi's popular.

That said Tesco aren't too bad but every time I go into one and hear that bleeping sound as good is passed over the reading machine(barcodes) it sounds like I am inside a massive game of that television video system we all once had or remembered-the one with the paddles for playing tennis, football etc

Interesting. I found some very small 'things' crawling about on a table-they were so small you need great eyesight to see them-luckily I had my reading/computer glasses on, but I can see things distance wise better. However, this morning some of the little perishers were spotted by our cleaner friend on the carpet outside the lounge. It turned out to be very small ANTS! so immediately I made a grab some ant powder and on our nearly cleaned carpet had to puff the stuff along the edge outside including opening the house door and squirting some in the porch-we think that was where they had got in. Hopefully we got them, but it was probably the hot weather that made them come in. It's the first time that has happened although some years ago we discovered larger ones in the kitchen! Last year we were infested with fruit flies, they were everywhere near the kitchen door-sheesh!!

Sitting by my computer and the Facetime jingle went off-I moved quickly and put my lower back out again-luckily a couple of Anadin sorted that, then the telephone downstairs went dead(I was called by my sister on Facetime and told that she had tried phoning earlier) probably from the weather(as it turned out it was a telephone I had in my room that wasn't inserted back properly(a wall-mounted job but not mounted) anyway I tried to call my parents on a Warner Hotel break in the wilds of Devon(rang up said hotel but didn't know the room number so left a message at the front desk) because I thought my Dad hadn't turned his phone off-finally they phoned me back on my smartphone and it wasn't their fault. I suppose I shouldn't be too pissed off because a) the signal came back for the telephone and b) Liverpool won the UEFA Super Cup tonight(albeit on penalties) It was a funny day yesterday.

Back to work tomorrow.... Ten days free of the madness. Why couldn't I still be back on the beach in South Wales like this time last week.... Had couple of brilliant sunshine filled days, also filled with skimpy bikinis... lol.

Hmm seems that the Anadin didn't quite do the trick and this morning I woke up at 7.30am with a pain in my side which I think was wind! Anyway had to go,out and do some shopping so took more Anadin and it is, at the moment, working but may need another two later. Age is a real bastard once you get past 40! I am happy but this pain really puts a cramp on your day, oh yes and the telephone, whilst the dialling tone is back, at the moment, only rings once so you have to be quick to pick it up.
