hope you get a full apology for everything that has happened i would expect nothing less....

Pissed offf as hearing aid stopped working at work thus rendering me tone deaf to hearing anything people saying to me. Messaged family as soon as I got home not to call me as I can't hear anything on phone, and messaged hospital site asap to find out if i can get emergency appt for repair or replacement. Hate being without it as it leaves me stressed.

More than fucklng likely it wil sit in the hospital inbox for a few days and no one fucking bothers to read it or pass it on to the Audiology Department where it will sit for another number of days and never gets read or gets deleted.

It does amaze me that hearing aid batteries seem to have about the same duration as a lemming's life expectancy.

I get about ten days use out of one battery mate - if I'm lucky - but right nowe there's not much I can do until i get it fixed as the whole thing's stopped sworking and it's not because of the battery!!

Bit of an update..


We all managed to finally speak to Mum on Tuesday and at least one of is now talking to her each day. She's doing well and getting up & around with a walking frame, which is a minor miracle considering the state she was in last Friday night.

They're planning to keep her in a week or so then will decide whether to do her physiotherapy at the hospital or somewhere a bit closer to home for a few weeks.

I've spoken to a couple of the nurses to thank them and made it clear that none of us blame them for the Hospital's hopeless communication systems. We're planning to send something to the ward as a thank you to the staff.

I also sent a thank you message to the Ambulance service. I got a reply yesterday confirming it had been passed on to the crew who attended.

^my mum's struggling to get around. she hasn't left the house since 2019. i feel your pain mate.

Update

Now have to send hearing aid into hospital via post which knowing my luck, might either end up sitting in post system for weeks on end - or getting lost altogether - and worse luck don't have spare that works!! have worked three days without it but have next week off so I can rest ears a bit.

My problems pale into insignificance compared to those above.

Compared to some problems this is pretty trivial but the sun published the name of the winner of World's strongest man 2021 today.
Every year since I can remember I have watched this over the Christmas period, knowing the result before hand pisses me off.

Update 2

Has now been two weeks since I sent hearing aid into hospital via post. which is now makeing me thingk it is still in the systems to be dleivered weeks or has been lost altogether.

have now worked two full weeks without it and work have been greast ensuring there is someone on the shop floor with me to help out.

I am now planning to send letter tomorrow to the hospital to find out what is going on. And will possibly get HR at Head Office to get involved tob sort this situation out as I am finding very difficult to do things.

It was the only aid I had and with the department not likely to reopen any time soon I am wondering if & when I am likely I could get an answer.

Letter is ready should I send a copy to Matt Hancockup (even though I feel he is a cunt) and get him involved in this? (and would that make things worse?)
