That's definitely not normal. Things do go wrong with calls sometimes though, although I've only ever had a problem once. If you ask the channels they will probably say that the number of failed calls is a very small number out of the total number of calls they get, although that's no consolation if you happen to have had a problem yourself.

Thanks. I didn't think it was normal - it even says at the bottom of the screen you can listen in if you can't get through, but I simply wasn't given that option on half a dozen times I called Babestation Blue last night. Should I contact them, or is not worth it?

Well, it's the kind of thing you expect and wish Ofcom would clamp down on, but of course getting ripped off doesn't turn you into a dangerous sexual deviant like we all know watching the babes does, so it doesn't concern them.
In the same way the BBFC often seems more bothered by sex than violence... Has anyone contacted Ofcom about these issues (rather than, shall we say, 'taste' ones?)

Jack Reacher the other night - a 12A cert. The film contains many deaths, several leg and arm breaks during fights, a graphic description of how a man chewed off his own fingers in prison followed by another man being given the choice between doing the same and taking a bullet to the head, a prisoner being beaten into a coma in the back of a van, etc, etc.
If the lead actress in this had gotten her tits out (and I do wish she had) it would have been a 15 cert.

On another note:
If a new channel came in and ran the calls fairly and properly, quick, accurate connections, no scamming, with good shows too, they would create a loyal, growing, repeat-calling customer base and totally dominate within months. Would put the con artists that run this crock of shite out of business.
Trouble is, this kind of business tends to be run by crooks who have seemingly no capacity to develop a sustainable successful legitimate service model, even if it would be more lucrative. It's like they are compelled to con people and cut their own noses despite their faces.

I've never really looked at it that way, but you're spot on. I think the theory behind why these shite hawks operate as they do is the one that says no one is going to publicly complain about being ripped-off by porn merchants. Can you see Babestation being brought to task by Anne Robinson?
Knowing this, they'll cut corners and scam their customers till the cows come home - saving money is the process. Like you say, though, just a pity they can't see beyond this.
