The NHS estimates that over 30,000 breast implant operations are done in the UK each year. It's a woman's choice what she does with her body. If you don't like them that's fine - don't watch and avert your eyes as you walk down any high street. As only about 15% of the operations are done on the NHS I think it is safe to assume that a lot of thought has to go into deciding to have an operation as they are not inexpensive.

The ones who are "silly & misguided" are those who automatically think all implants are work of the devil, and that any babe who has them automatically becomes bereft of all value as a human being.

Why can't we all just get along?

Indeed; I suffered from chronic dehydration as a teenager.
But no, I do get where you're going and I agree to a point. One of my friends is - inexplicably - a big fan of la Price and even went to a book-signing. Yet, she's an intelligent, respectable mum (the friend, not KP) and she has cracking little tits and thank God she's never expressed any interest in enhancement herself! But yeah, Price definitely has influence, thanks to overexposure; no publicity is bad publicity when you're on her sort of media-driven career path (ie; attention-seeking) and it's just like the popular kids at school who retain an enviable glamour about them because everyone in the school knows about them. Whether you like them or not is irrelevant, they have influence and the more easily-influenced will be susceptible to it. And I believe there is a sub-set of the surgery-inclined who genuinely would do it because of what they saw in Heat magazine.
However, I incline to the belief that mostly, that's not the case, and it's just that during my lifetime cosmetic surgery has become both more readily available and more generally accepted as nothing special.
I must conclude by saying that, although I prefer naturals, I've seen good and bad boob-jobs; the worst being not that appalling (some noticeable scarring and slight veining, shape okay) and the very best being truly beautiful.

Like it or not Katy Price is the queen of the UK tits and arse brigade. She will come out of the Big Brother house,and the first couple of days will be taken up with her writing a book on her exploits in the house. The third day she will write the sequel.Then she wil get down to arranging her civil partnership with the lovely Katie Hopkins. Because in the house these once warring couple have discovered their love and admiration for each other. After the ceremony the happy couple with open a "get rid of your tits and tats campaign". They will then go for backing from the Dragons Den where they will be feted by the Dragons as being the backbone of enterprise in our ailing country. Katy will go on to be the real queen and have Katie Hopkins de-capitated after learning she was having an affair with her old housemate, Perez.

What I have just written is a load of old bollocks, does everyone agree? But if the Daily Star was to print it I would guarantee to find some people would believe it. Maybe not the de-capitated bit, they wouldn't know what it meant. But the power of Price would make it seem feasible, I'm sure it would.

And I thought watching the babechannnels was time wasting enough but at least I get (or used to at least) some sexual gratification from them.

I think we all get bored with it from time to time, I know I do.
But your central point is incredibly valid and goes to the power of suggestibility / gullibility in the individual. Personally, I find that amusing silly things render me highly suggestible. So where does that leave us?...
