Can I ask what you use to transfer video tapes to digital by any chance? I have tapes of stuff myself that I would love to digitally preserve but dont know how to.
Thanks.
It's over ten years since I did that and I just connected the VCR to a DVD/HD recorder.

Well I best get my hands on one then! I suppose theres no way of transferring stuff directly from a sky box to a hard drive? Sorry for all the questions.

Dunno mate, I've never owned a Sky box.
You could try googling it though, that helped me when I wanted to find the best way of removing a "tea" stain from a mattress.

when I was recording xxxpanded stuff, had to record on sky, then plug sky hd into pc then use a paid program to rip on to hd into a readable format.

just take the hard drive out of the sky box and connect it to a computer.
its just a standard hard drive inside a sky box and its very east to remove and replace.

The big disadvantage with that method is that he won't be able to record "Lock N' Load with R. Lee Ermey" on Forces TV while the box is dismantled.
This might be random but I think the girl presenting 21.co.uk casino show on Channel 5 is being wasted. She should be on the babe channels, she would be great and add a touch of class with her sexy Anglo-French presence. If you're going to do work on late night television, you might as well get your kit off. Just remove Ella Jolie and replace her with Florie
No, hope SJ is ok. Seems to be as she’s backstage on cams she’s tweeted
