I am sick of hearing people say "But theres the internet for porn". Its not the same. They wouldnt say that if live football was banned and all you could see were random goals between unknown teams in 5 minute clips. Or if action films had every punch edited out along with guns being fired.
Dont kid yourselves its the Christians who are opposed to sex on TV. Their attitude is that they dont like it but accept its a part of modern society. Gambling channels and payday loans should bother them far more from a religious or social welfare perspective, as well as psychic channels and text in "competitions". And as for TV channels promoting other religions...
Its not parents either, leastwise not at midnight.
So why is sex the only area where 30 year old restrictions are still in place? It is not uniquely harmful and TV is not meant to be some kind of safe zone where there is nothing you would be uncomfortable watching with your mother. Violent films. Strong humour. Medical shows. Racism debates. Ross Kemp shows. But no sex.

The thing is sex is allowed, in large quantities, depending on context.
The mystery to me is why sexual content is not allowed on channels where the aim of the channel is sexual arousal. You can make a programme about sexual arousal and have naked genitals as far as the eye can see, but if the programme's main intent is to arouse then forget it.
There's no logical or philosophical argument that can support this distinction, so the only possible justification is some sort of twisted religious fundamentalism, completely out of step with modern society.
agree its ridiculous the babeshows are as they are compared to mainstream tv and i cant see it changing im afraid for a good while yet. as for last night, given that, i thought last night wasnt bad at all on pretty much all the channels
Getting back to eccles and digital daves point of view on what is allowed on mainstream telly as opposed to the babe channels, although I fully agree with you on principle because we have had many a long and winded discussion on the ofcom thread about this, I can't help but think that we are diverting our attentions somewhat of the subject in hand.
As I predicted last night based on the line ups for the shows and also the current OTT self censorship down to fear of ofcom that I was pretty much spot on with my predictions of what lay ahead for last nights fare.
I also got no pleasure out of predicting such a gloomy forecast. Friday night and Saturday in the past you were guaranteed a good nights viewings but that's all changed, out in force last night we had the safety first models brigade.
To sum up last night was a dire and absymal nights viewing allround, I wouldn't give one single model or channel pass marks, it was hidious. I've seen Monday night shows in the past more entertaining.
As a newcomer to capping, I felt absolutely no compulsion to cap any of them, they in my opinion were not worthy of any kind of attention.
Total shitfest from the beginning to the end.
Time for me to take a break from the channels and forum, think we all need to realise that the channels are there for one purpose only and need to stop being made into some kind of soap opera, there are no plotlines with these channels, they are not made for back to back viewing, thats why most people on here are unhappy, i for one am bored to death of the channels atm so im giving them a long break
i have an idea to put forward to the channels , why dont one of them start another channel up (rlc did recently without any hiccups) and call it ALMOST , employ camilla, lori , danni ,bailey etc all the girls that go that little bit further than the rest(ok no pussy but as near as),then the rest can be as tame as they want, at the very least we will see girls doing their thing and entertaining the masses who are begging for a decent nights adult viewing,by the way if one of them does take up the idea i will sue for copyright unless i am given a back stage pass with a chair next to the cameraman

I know the feeling I spent most of my time now on webshows or webcams at least I can see what I want there.
Yes I have to admit the channels these days have got so formulatic that they do look like they are on their last legs.
I've been up early all this week, I remember in the past I would stay up late just to see my favourites spring into action. IE - Bailey Cream, Lucy Summer's, Caty Cole (back when she was a legend) and co almost deliver to the punters what we all wanted to see.
Ofcom and over cautious producers have all but killed off any suspence that remained, even when the models go naked, it's normally so dull and lifeless it quickly becomes a non event.
Static models and static positions, topless only with more movement is even more boring.
Back to the recent naked stints, if you could imagine for one second, you are an artist and you are drawing the nude figure, it's nice to look at but in terms of being erotic, it ain't.
With use of the handthong all but killed off it's taken away with the risk element which was what made it all so special.
A number of models down the years were able to achieve this, to give the impression that you might see a slip of the hand but without actually doing it. It is a fantastic illusion when it's done properly.

As the eternal optimistic in me all my hopes are geared up for 2013 and I hope for a much better output and change in fortunes, I can recall 2008 in particular being a very bad year for the babe channels with 2009 fairing much better leading up to the high of the summer of 2010 when arguably they were at their strongest.
