The day they do is the day I stop watching completely. If I wanted online adult liveshows I've already got plenty to choose from and I wouldn't be bothering with the babeshows on Sky.
Certainly there is more negativity towards the shows now than we've seen before and it's 100% justified, a couple of years ago they were watchable and certainly pushed the limits and mostly everybody on this forum was satisfied that they were giving as good a show under the ofcom rules that could be expected.
We still wanted to see pussy but the use of the handthong more than compensated for that. You could see a half decent naked show with plenty of movement.
Don't get me wrong all is not lost, we do still get the rare treat now and again but it's not a given anymore, I still think in the next few years that we'll see a gradual change in the fortunes again for the better. The babe channels will be going strong, as we speak Danni Harwood is naked in the office set so well plenty still to be positive about
Also I must admit for a Monday night the shows haven't been too bad tonight, I've seen worse recently
The thing about the babeshows, unlike most other continuously running shows (soaps etc), is that the audience is ever changing.
There will be a constant stream of teenagers finding them for the first time, some will stay viewers and some will move on when they get their first real girlfriend.
Older guys will find them after the kids leave home or a partner/wife moves out and some of them will move on too, for different reasons (I know I have).
I still call one of the girls occasionally, but she's only on about once a week and outside of that I never really watch. Tbh my tv hasn't been on in 3 days, believe it or not (yes, I know it's nearly 3am but the dog's gone out for a piss and I'm waiting for him to come back in
)
I think Rammy's right, to an extent. It's obvious the channels are pushing the webcam services but the customer base will be smaller (although individual customers will probably spend alot more) and they will still need the tv shows as their 'shop window'.
Ofcom may have started the rot but if the rules were relaxed tomorrow I don't think there would be a much change in the shows because they've moved on too. Putting harder content back on tv would hit the other services they've developed and, whether certain forum members like it or not, the majority of the audience is probably happy with what they're getting because they don't know any better. Half of them won't know what the shows were like in 2010 never mind 'the good old days'.
I doubt the shows are as profitable as they were but they are obviously still making money or they would have at least shed a channel each, if not given up. I suspect it's a balancing act between the fta shows, encrypted shows and the online shows to keep them all profitable.

I want to know what
all the channels finances are like. I'm a nosey bastard
Good points there made and also from Mr.Mystery and perhaps I have gone a bit far and say they will be gone within 2 years.
I don't watch the channels everyday of the week these days, maybe 2 nights the max and there would be small group of babes that would keep me interested for a bit and then I just watch a film instead. But when I don't watch, I have a bit of a look go through trends, which are about certain girls being boring and need a change of routine, lots of phone waving and then people getting pissed off by scams. Then I think when the majority of the time it seems negativity is afoot, I wonder how things can be sustained.
Of course things can change, but the question is in a positive swing or a negative swing.
This is just my opinion and how I interpret it and of course I'm as usual well off target on this
yeah exactly thats how i do things now usally look at 9 and 10 to see who is on if someone i like is on then i watch if not usally watch dave
get the feeling might be more internet based channels in the next 2-5 years proberly as higher speed next gen broadband is rolled out

I don't know what the finances are like for all the channels, but Cellcast's overall revenue and profits in the UK increased last year , they had a very good first half of the year but they had a down turn in revenue for the last few months in 2011 , Cellcast attributed this to in their words "a recession driven drop in consumer demand" they then went on to say "which is evidenced by a significant drop in monthly spend per user" , Cellcast also predicted that in 2012 revenue/demand wouldn't return to the levels of the first half of 2011 .
My understanding was that the drop in consumer demand was on all fronts, ie freeview, Sky, internet, pic /vid downloads etc and was in Cellcast view due to the recession .
I can't see that removing your channels from Sky and freeview and going online only as Rammy says will happen would result in consumer demand being higher on the internet than it presently is on tv, if moving to online only doesn't result in higher demand and revenue then why do it ? . If people haven't got the money to ring a girl on tv then they won't have the money to ring a internet show either, the channels are already on the internet anyway .
It's best that the channels remain on Sky/freeview and internet like they presently are in my opinion .
It's been proven that internet only streams are not a huge success, I mean Sexstation TV is 24/7 yet it doesn't seem to pull in the same audience that Babestation does despite the fact it's uncensored, people want to see the babe channels on the big screen, the demand is stronger than ever, it's within the interests of the channels to push ofcom into relaxing the rules. My prediction for the future is that it will happen, even the day shows I believe will allow for stronger material to be shown in the future.
Technology has a way these days that SKY Box's will have an opt into adult material in the near future, it'll be a simple phone call to SKY to prove that you are over 18 which hopefully will just be an automated line to have the channels all activated. This will spell the end for ofcom's rule over the channels.
This will mean that no longer will anybody be able to complain about being offended by the channels because it will be down to an adult informed choice.
I know i for one wouldnt give two fucks about watching these girls on the web if they weren't on tv.The whole point would be gone and theres alot better on web anyway!
But i doubt rammy is gonna be right anyway, these channels in 2yrs time will more likely be way more restricted, the channels will still be making plenty of money from their "loyal" fans and ofcom will still be here picking and choosing who they fine like this whole storm fiasco!

yeah internet only streams might not be profitable now thats because the technology is still in infancy i for one have started to use Voipay and the chat girl naughty line to call and watch shows and the quality is getting better so whats to stop them having just web only shows
